This song looks like it’s about dying. But it’s not. It’s about living right now, being who we are while we have this very sacred opportunity/task to BE who we came here to be. With this song, I bow to the liberating wisdom traditions that encourage us to remember that our time in this form is limited, and so to look deeper at the question: who am I? What am I here for? And as I sing it I remind myself to WAKE UP! when I fall into ways of being that aren't satisfying or fulfilling, aren't taking full advantage of this gift of life that I have for such a brief time. If you haven’t been living your deepest truth, I invite you to take this moment to permit yourself to go for it.

I'm going to be 68 next month. Our society deems women my age as 'old' and should be put out to pasture.... whatever that means. I am trying to figure out how to be me with this neon light over my head. This song really resonated with me and made me smile. Live life my way??? Really?? I could have? There is something wrong with the way women are demonized every step of the way through their lives. I'm going to play this over and over through my journey toward my soul's purpose and f***ck judgers. Bless you my dear sister. This is now My Song.
