Let's take a moment from our busy workday to find peace in God's presence.
Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably without being disturbed.
You can gently close your eyes if that feels okay.
And begin by taking three deep breaths,
Inhaling deeply,
Filling your lungs with air.
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing all the stress and tension of your workday.
Breathe in God's peace and breathe out your worries.
One more deep breath in and out.
Now envision yourself in a serene place.
This could be a garden or a beach or a peaceful meadow.
It's a place where you feel safe,
Relaxed,
And in God's loving presence.
In this peaceful place,
See yourself sitting comfortably and in front of you is a burden box.
This box is where you can leave all the worries and stresses you carry from work.
So one by one,
Take each worry,
Be it a deadline,
A challenging project,
A difficult relationship with a coworker,
And just imagine yourself placing it in this box.
And as you do this,
Say a silent prayer,
Handing it over to God.
And after you place all your worries in the box,
Imagine yourself closing it.
Perhaps you feel lighter and more at peace in this moment.
And now turn your attention to the presence of God around you.
Feel His comfort,
Love,
And strength filling your heart.
Remember the verse from Philippians 4.
13.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
And just let these words sink deeply into your heart.
And as you sit in God's presence,
Ask for His guidance and wisdom to handle the challenges at work.
Take a moment to offer up a prayer for patience,
Understanding,
And the ability to see problems as opportunities to grow and to trust in Him.
Just taking another moment to conclude your prayer,
Knowing that it's almost time to return to your workday,
But before you do,
Take a few more deep breaths.
Feeling refreshed and reassured in God's capable hands.
Start to introduce some movement back into your body,
So maybe you wiggle your fingers and your toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Returning to your surroundings.
And as you go back to your work,
Carry this sense of peace and confidence with you.
Remember,
God is always with you,
Providing strength and calmness in every situation.
