Good morning.
This meditation is for anybody who just needs a few minutes to carve out for themselves.
If you're a busy mother or a parent and you have a whole day of caring for others ahead,
Let's take this just a few moments to settle ourselves,
Center ourselves,
And begin our day full,
Whole,
And ready to serve.
Find a comfortable seat.
Allow the body to settle.
Take a big deep breath in and let it out the mouth.
Let it all the way go.
Let the belly empty.
Take another one in through the nose and out the mouth.
One more time.
The shoulders relax.
The tongue and the teeth and the jaw settle.
Soften your gaze or close your eyes.
And begin allowing the breath to naturally flow in and out.
Notice the temperature as it enters your nostrils,
Where it flows through the body and expands.
And then the warmth as it leaves the nose.
And you empty the body fully.
Notice if the body feels stiff or firm in any places.
Maybe direct the breath to expand and allow those places to soften.
Stay here for as long as you need,
Or as long as your life allows.
And when you're ready,
Begin to open the eyes.
Slowly begin to recognize the space around you again.
And take one more deep breath in through the nose and out the mouth.
Thank you for joining me today.
That's all the time we have.
And I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and the rest of your week.
Om.
