Anyways,
Just talking so people can wind down and get used to the sound of things.
We'll begin with tonight's activity.
Just to find a way that one is sitting comfortably and feeling reasonably supported.
Perhaps lying down.
To begin with for tonight,
We just acknowledge that there's a flow of awareness.
That comes in through several windows of impressions.
And it's unique in this moment.
And perhaps to have a sense of gratitude that we are given these windows.
And this awareness.
And then we make a small choice to bring part of our awareness on purpose.
Perhaps a bit more continuously.
And for this just to bring them to the muscles around the eyes.
And the eyes can be open or closed.
But if they're open,
I suggest just to soften the gaze.
To allow the mind to see the field of light and color as it comes in,
In a more panoramic way.
Letting the muscles around the eyes soften,
Staying with them.
And allowing this to spread throughout the face,
The cheeks,
The nose,
The forehead.
The lips and the chin.
The muscles of the tongue.
And around to the ears.
Letting this whole of the face soften.
Perhaps for a moment even just letting go of a compulsion to use the face to express things.
Or relive moments we should have expressed.
But to sense it simply as a system of anatomy.
To be present to it and to be thankful for it.
Letting this continue to the top of the head,
The back of the head.
The head is a whole softening,
The scalp.
This really very remarkable structure that holds all our intelligence,
Most of it.
Some of it.
A lot goes on.
Just to relax that outer part of it.
Without interfering in the flow of what goes on inside.
Bringing the awareness down to the hips,
The bottom of this chalice of organs.
Relaxing the whole of the pelvis,
The lower back and the abdomen.
Working our way up the solar plexus and the mid back.
And up the shoulders and the breasts.
And again another very remarkable container.
Relaxing the outer structure of the torso.
Without interfering in any way to what's within.
And in both these places.
The outer structure of the head and the outer structure of the torso.
Where there's perhaps some tension that can't be released.
To try to bring some sense of compassion.
Just the permission that this will find its way.
And in that sense of compassion,
Perhaps to think of someone or the many,
Perhaps all of humanity.
And include that in this gesture of compassion and softening.
And good wishes.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
