Hi, my dear mindfulness friends, This guided meditation weaves together my poem Breathing Into Inter-Being with the gentle sounds of nature. The term interbeing, introduced by Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, reminds us that we are not separate selves—we inter-are with everything. May this practice offer you a moment of stillness, and guide you back to the home you truly belong. "Breathing Into Inter-Being" Breathing in, I smile; breathing out, I relax. I become a white cloud, floating above the prairie. Breathing in, I smile; breathing out, I soften. I become the gentle rain, nourishing all living beings. Breathing in, I smile; breathing out, I let go. I become a flowing river, travelling the path to which I belong. Breathing in, I smile; breathing out, I rest. I become the ocean—deep, vast, embracing everything. Breathing in, I smile; breathing out, I see clearly. The cloud, the rain, the river, and the ocean are all within me. I am because I inter-am.
