So find a comfortable position and let your eyes gently close.
Take one slow breath in through your nose,
Filling up your lungs completely.
Let it out slowly like you're blowing on a candle,
But not enough to blow it out.
Now take one more big,
Deep breath in.
Filling up your lungs all the way and let it out slowly.
Settling into your seat or if you're lying down,
The surface that you're on.
I want to offer a thought for contemplation today.
What if today was the last day of your life?
Let that settle into your body for a moment and let this be your invitation to live today as fully and completely as you can.
I want you to imagine the people in your life,
Your spouse,
Your kids,
Your co-workers.
Imagine this being the last day that you get to share with them.
Try to really visualize it.
Try to really visualize this.
If this next time you saw them was the last time,
The last hug,
The last conversation,
The last ordinary day together,
How would you be different?
Would you hold them differently?
Listen to them differently?
How do you want to show up for them on your last day together?
Now imagine the day ahead.
All the small,
Ordinary things throughout your day that you usually don't think about that you do automatically.
Imagine the smaller things like washing the dishes,
Cooking food,
Eating,
Moving your body,
Walking from one room to the next,
Exercising,
Stretching.
How might those actions be different if this was your last time doing them?
If you really gave yourself the opportunity to delight in these small,
Ordinary actions?
Now,
Take a moment to set your intention for the day.
How do you want to move through this day knowing that it could be your last?
Carry this intention with you and live this day like it counts because it does.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
