Today we're going to do alternate nostril breathing for 10 minutes.
This is a calming breath to help balance the right and left hemispheres of the brain.
It can also calm the mind and reduce stress and anxiety and help with mental clarity.
First,
With your right hand,
Take your index and middle finger,
Or your peace sign fingers,
And fold them down,
Leaving the other three fingers up.
Take your thumb and place it on your right nostril,
Closing it.
Breathe in through your left nostril for a count of four.
Close both your nostrils for a count of four.
And release your right nostril,
Taking your thumb off and exhaling for a count of eight.
You then repeat this process,
But with your inhale through the right nostril.
So let's begin,
Sitting comfortably and folding down your index and middle fingers.
Get ready to close your right nostril with your thumb on a count of three,
