Hello everyone,
Welcome.
I invite you to close your eyes,
Let your eyelids become heavy.
Perhaps you gaze at the tip of your nose,
Roll your shoulders up to your ears,
And back down your spine.
Let's take a deep breath in together and out.
Two more community breaths all together.
Breathe in and out.
In and out.
Beginning to arrive in our bodies,
Noticing your senses.
What do you taste in your mouth?
What do you smell on your inhale?
What do you feel on your body?
The warmth of your palms resting on your skin,
Your clothing,
The hair on your neck,
The warmth of your bent legs.
We arrive in this space that we're in,
Noticing what you hear around you,
Any subtle sounds.
As we arrive in our bodies and we arrive in this space,
We arrive in this moment right here,
Right now,
Breathing in through our nose together and out.
Two more community breaths.
Breathe in together.
Breathe in.
Exhale,
Release anything which no longer serves you.
Breathe in.
Breathe out that which is holding you back.
Two more breaths to release.
Exhale loud.
Let it go.
Breathe in.
Release everything.
Now we continue to breathe in and out through our noses,
Present in our bodies,
Present in this space,
Present in this moment.
As we breathe,
We begin to grow aware that we are not alone.
Although physically,
You may not have anyone in your immediate surroundings that you can see or touch,
But you can hear my voice and I am with you.
I am in this community with you.
You are not alone on this journey.
We are on this journey together.
You and me.
Let's take a deep breath in together.
You and me right now.
Deep breath in and out.
Let's breathe in together.
You and me.
Once more.
We continue to breathe together.
You and me,
Present right here,
Right now,
In this moment together,
In different parts of the earth,
But here in this moment and every day on this sobriety journey,
We are together.
We are walking this path together.
You and me.
We are on this journey together.
You are never alone on the sobriety journey.
As you begin to breathe into this unity,
You recognize that there are more.
There is more than just you and me.
You open your left hand so your palm is up towards the sun and begin to feel a warm sensation in your left palm,
A tightness interlacing between each finger,
Breathing into that warmth.
As you acknowledge and begin to feel this warmth in your left palm,
You realize that someone is holding your hand,
Someone else along this journey.
In another part of the world,
It's someone else who is in sobriety,
Someone else who every day is waking up and choosing to take another step forward on this path with you.
As you feel them squeeze your hand,
You feel that warmth in your hand and you feel the energy flow.
And in that squeeze,
You recognize this warmth is sending you the message of understanding.
Our suffering can be so immense.
The struggle can be so intense.
Sobriety is not easy,
But it is worth it.
And you are not alone.
You are not alone.
And sometimes when our body feels weak and it's hard to move forward,
This hand that's holding you pulls you,
Pulls you forward.
Feel this energy pulling gently,
Pulling your left hand forward when you resist.
We are your community and we want you on this path with us.
You deserve to be on this path.
You deserve to be in the journey of sobriety.
And sometimes you are strong.
And when you are strong,
You squeeze that hand in your left palm and you pull those around you forward.
You motivate with your words,
You inspire with your actions.
You join your groups,
You speak out,
You share,
And you pull others forward.
And we open our right hand.
Our right palm is open towards the sun.
And we begin to notice a warm sensation here.
And we notice a tightness in between our right fingers.
And as we breathe in,
We find a gentle smile on our face.
As we acknowledge that someone's holding my right hand as well,
Someone is holding your right hand as well.
And as you look down past them,
You see that someone is holding their hand,
And someone is holding their hand.
And to your left as well,
Someone is holding their hand,
And someone is holding their hand.
And you begin to feel this pull of gravity,
This gentle tug to the right,
This gentle tug to the left.
As you acknowledge,
You feel holding hands in a circle around this whole earth.
This whole world is filled with people in sobriety,
People on this journey.
This whole world is filled with a community of people trying their best,
Trying their hardest to be stronger than their addictions.
And we recognize that there is strength in numbers.
And our heart is warm as we are so grateful to be a part of this community.
Breathe into that gratitude.
Breathe in feeling grateful.
Exhale gratitude.
Breathing in gratitude.
Exhaling gratitude.
Breathing in gratitude.
Breathing in gratitude.
Letting it flow,
Filling up your heart,
Filling up your body.
You are filled with gratitude and you exhale,
Releasing gratitude in every direction.
We are grateful to be in this community.
We feel the unity in our sobriety community.
We are not alone.
You are not alone on this journey.
Your story is unique.
Your experiences are unique.
Yes,
But you are not alone in having these intense experiences that are hard to fight.
And you are not alone in being capable and knowing that you are capable to fight.
Knowing right now as you breathe in and out that this community supports you.
Feel that support in your chest.
Breathe in the support of the community.
Breathe out support as you are filled with it.
You are filled with support.
This community believes in you.
This community knows that you are capable of sobriety.
Breathe in capability.
Take as much as you need.
Breathe in a little more.
Exhale out capability.
You are emanating capability.
You are emanating capability and you share it with your community.
In the sober community,
You are emanating capability.
You are emanating capability.
And the sober community is so happy to have you here in this present moment where we are united,
Where we are together,
Walking forward,
Holding hands,
Feeling the unity in our sober community.
Feeling the unity in our sober community.
Feeling the unity in our sober community.
And we'll seal this practice by sharing three oms all together.
You and me and all of us.
Breathe in.
Two more oms together.
Breathe in.
One more all together.
In.
I am so grateful and proud to walk on this path with you.
I am so grateful to be in a community with you,
Our sober community.
And I bow to you.
Namaste.
