Welcome to this short yet powerful morning meditation designed to help you start your day on a positive note with gratitude and calm.

You can do this meditation sitting up in a comfortable position or simply stay laying down if you haven't yet gotten out of bed.

Allow yourself this time to gently ease into the day.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold it for a moment,

And release it slowly through your mouth.

Let's do this two more times together.

Inhale deeply,

Filling your lungs with calm,

Hold,

And exhale any tension or worries letting them drift away.

Last time,

Breathe in fully,

Feeling your chest expand with possibility,

Hold,

And breathe out completely,

Settling into this moment of stillness.

Now picture your teenager's face.

See them as they are right now,

In all their complexity and uniqueness.

Notice their expressions,

Their quirks,

And their energy.

As you hold this image,

Think of a recent moment of connection,

Big or small.

Perhaps it was a shared laugh,

A simple smile,

Or a moment of teamwork.

Let this memory warm your heart like a soft light glowing within you.

Now let this light grow brighter as you extend your love and gratitude towards your teen.

Imagine this light wrapping around them like a warm,

Comfortable hug,

Even if they might resist one in real life.

Silently or out loud,

Repeat these affirmations.

I am grateful for the opportunity to guide my teen through this stage of life.

I am thankful for the moments of connection we share,

No matter how small.

I honor both my teen's growth and my own.

Take a moment to reflect on one thing you appreciate about yourself as a parent.

Perhaps it's your patience,

Your ability to show up,

Or your love that remains steady even though there are challenges.

Let this gratitude for yourself sink in.

Take one final deep breath in,

Drawing in all the gratitude and love you've cultivated.

And as you exhale,

Release any lingering self-doubt or tension.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes if they were closed,

Or simply take a moment to stretch and feel grounded.

Bring this sense of gratitude with you as you step or roll into the rest of your day.

Thank you for starting your morning with presence and love.

May your day be filled with small joys,

Meaningful moments,

And the reminder of your incredible role in your teen's life.
