I'm going to offer a practice that I like to use.
It's called balanced breathing or equal breathing.
So if you haven't already,
Find a quiet spot where you can take a couple minutes to yourself.
Turn off that technology.
I want you to check in with yourself.
How do I feel?
Where am I at?
Checking with the body.
Starting to observe the breath.
Not changing anything.
How are my shoulders?
Are they tense?
Or can they soften?
How's my jaw?
Can I soften my jaw?
Taking your first deep breath in consciously,
Either in through the nose or the mouth.
All the way to the top.
Letting go.
Allowing yourself to feel the expansion.
On the in-breath,
You can feel your body opening and expanding.
Breathing in and relaxing.
Just letting go.
Maybe you're making a sound on the out-breath.
Taking one more breath in.
Deep in the belly.
Pushing it out using your diaphragm.
Pulling the breath into the chest.
We're going to do three rounds of 10,
30 all together.
Five seconds in.
Five seconds out.
I like to do in through my nose,
Out through my mouth.
When I'm blowing out,
It's like I'm blowing out a candle.
Like I'm pursing my lips to create a bit of resistance,
Slowing my breath.
