This grounding meditation works directly with sensation, breath, and gravity to help the body release what it has been unconsciously holding for others. Attention is guided into the lower body, allowing excess effort to drain downward and settle into support. As holding patterns soften—particularly in the shoulders, chest, and throat—vitality naturally returns. This is a practice of embodied release, helping the nervous system reorient toward steadiness, presence, and rightful weight.

Welcome to Be With Melinda.

Take a moment to arrive.

Feel the surface beneath you,

The weight of your body being held.

Embrace these next few moments with ease and rest.

Notice your breath as it is,

Easy and unforced.

Let it fall low into the belly and the pelvis and into the base of the body.

If it helps,

Place a hand on the lower abdomen and feel the warmth there.

This is the center of movement,

The center of response,

The center of life.

Sense that you belong to a larger field of connection,

Beyond story and into presence.

Those who came before you and those who walk alongside you exist around you,

Upright,

Supported,

And distinct.

Their lives are held in their own way.

Your body is free to rest.

Now let these words form quietly inside.

I stand where I belong.

Let the body receive that statement.

Allow sensation to speak for itself.

Begin to notice any area of the body that feels busy.

The shoulders,

The chest,

The throat.

Energy that might have been holding or stabilizing or managing.

There's no need to give it words.

On each exhale,

Allow that excess energy to drain downward through the pelvis,

Through the legs,

And into the ground.

Softened and released downward.

The earth knows how to receive what is no longer yours.

Now sense your own vitality.

The part of you that moves,

Responds,

And lives.

Notice how it feels when balance returns on its own and presence remains.

Let this acknowledgement arise.

I release unconscious responsibility.

And then I remain present in my own life force.

Feel what settles as this becomes true.

The work of holding is complete.

Harmony settles on its own.

Just breath.

Just body.

Just being here.

When you're ready,

Begin to reorient.

Feel the room,

The air,

The sounds.

Carry this steadiness with you.

Not as an insight,

But as a state.

You are already in your place.

May what is truly yours remain.

And may all that does not belong settle where it belongs.

Take one more generous breath.

And acknowledge this grounding meditation for you.

And thank you for practicing with me today.
