It's lovely to have you here and thank you for taking the time out today.
Today we're going to explore a mindfulness practice around navigating and creating change.
Before we begin,
I just like to invite you to settle into a comfortable position.
Allow yourself to stretch,
To move your body however you may feel feels needed and necessary.
Just a gentle invitation to start to connect with your breathing.
Allowing yourself to really settle into this time,
This space.
Into this moment.
And I invite you to take a gentle breath inward and a gentle release outwards.
And again,
Just allowing yourself to settle into a gentle rhythm of your breathing.
Noticing the surfaces beneath you,
Solid,
Steady,
Holding you.
And even as things shift in your life,
Even as things have shifted or you foresee that they will shift,
Something here remain,
Something here within you remain steady.
So now as an invitation to bring your awareness to this present moment in your life.
Not where you are,
Not where you're going,
But right here.
And a little invitation to put a question forward to yourself.
What is asking to change in your life right now?
It might be loud,
It might be obvious,
Or it might be a whisper asking for your attention.
It may be subtle.
This is just a space for curiosity.
What is asking to change in your life right now?
Simply acknowledge what's true.
There's no need to know what comes next just yet.
This is a gentle space to explore,
To be open,
To wonder about the possibility.
Remaining with your breathing,
Allowing yourself to continue to settle in and remain present.
Through change,
We often find ourselves standing between who we were and who we're becoming.
And sometimes we may want to ask ourselves,
What am I holding on to that no longer serves me?
Just allow your heart to sit with that.
What is my heart and my soul calling me forward towards?
Please gently breathe into any discomfort that this may bring up for you.
Allow yourself to breathe gently into loose spaces.
Any discomfort is not a sign that you're doing it wrong.
Simply evidence that you're listening,
You're growing,
And part of you is ready to evolve.
Again,
Remaining with your breathing,
Staying with a gentle pace.
You may find that you may want to bring a hand to your heart or a focus to your heart space at this time.
You may want to ask yourself,
What would I do if I trusted myself and the process completely?
What change have I been postponing because I'm waiting to feel ready?
Just taking a pause for reflection in this moment.
Courage is not the absence of fear,
But it is moving forward while fear walks beside you.
Acknowledging that it may be a part of you,
But it will not overcome you.
You do not need to be fearless in life,
But I may invite you to be honest about what matters more to you than the fear itself.
And again,
Just remaining with your breathing,
Allowing yourself to gently settle into your space.
Some change happens to us and some change we choose to create ourselves.
You may want to question,
Where do I have more power than I have been willing to claim?
What's one small,
Honest action that I could take forward towards the life I am trying to build?
This does not need to be a massive leap,
Just one truthful step.
Navigating change simply requires consistency of what matters.
Staying with your breathing in this moment.
Allowing yourself to remain steady and gentle with your natural flow.
You are allowed to change your mind,
Your direction and your life at any time.
You may like to open yourself up for the consideration of what if I gave myself full permission to create the change that I am craving?
What would I start with?
Where would I start?
And just hold in space,
Hold in silence for this personal reflection.
As you sit with this,
Allow answers to arise organically,
Without changing them into anything that may seem more acceptable.
Allow the deepest callings of your soul to come through.
Allow this part of you to have a voice.
Our callings are often placed within us for a purpose.
And they will often keep coming back because they want our attention.
While we're here,
And while we're with this moment,
Just take in three gentle breaths now.
Breathing gently,
Inward and outward.
Allowing yourself to settle in deeper to this space and this place.
Change is rarely one straight path.
There will be steps forward and steps back.
This is a part of the process.
Times when you feel the strength to move with fear and times when it may overwhelm.
But what matters is that we keep returning to what's true.
To what your soul speaks to you.
And you don't need to have it all figured out.
It's just about taking the next right step.
Trusting that you're exactly where you need to be able to begin.
And with this reflection in your heart,
I invite you to gently and slowly invite yourself back into this moment.
Back into this present space.
Gently opening your eyes.
Allowing yourself to open back up to the wall.
And to carry this clarity in your heart moving forward.
