Get into a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Close down your eyes and start to focus in work.
Checking in with how you feel.
Noticing what's present.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Fully expanding your belly,
Pulling air into your chest and then into your throat.
And when you're completely full,
Open mouth exhale,
Release.
Another deep breath just like that to settle in a little further.
Inhaling through the nose,
Biggest breath of your day.
And let it go.
What if you stopped searching?
What if you loosened the grip?
What if it wasn't the focus of your daily thoughts?
How would it feel to let the desire go?
Not from wanting it.
Not from your heart.
But releasing it from your mind.
Take a minute to honor this desire.
Hold it in your heart.
Maybe placing your hands there.
Feel it.
Honor it.
Know it.
And now release it.
When you soften,
When you gently let it go,
You allow the desire to be free and return to you on its own time.
In divine timing.
It is safe to let it go.
Now imagine you are sitting near a stream with a soft moving current.
The air is crisp.
The breeze is soft.
Trees are gently blowing.
On the stream there are a few big open leaves that have fallen from overhead.
Place your biggest desire,
The one that you can't stop thinking about,
Place that desire onto the leaf.
Now watch as the leaf and your desire gently flow down the stream.
Continue watching it flow until it is out of sight.
It is out of sight,
But it is still there.
It is still alive.
It is still safe.
Just simply out of view.
Let that bring you peace.
A release.
With the knowing that the desire will be fulfilled.
In its own time,
In its own way.
And you get to move through your day,
Weeks,
Months,
Years,
Feeling lighter.
Moving forward with trust.
With confidence.
Knowing that your prayer has been heard.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Expanding your belly with air and pulling it into your throat.
Gentle open mouth exhale,
Release.
Start to bring in any gentle movement to your body.
Rolling out your neck or your wrists.
Rubbing your palms on the back of your thighs.
And opening your eyes whenever you feel called.
