Welcome.

Take a moment now to settle.

Let your body soften into stillness and just follow the gentle rhythm of your breath.

And when you're ready,

I invite you to take a big inhale,

Fully inflating the lungs.

Hold it and squeeze.

Keep holding,

Keep squeezing,

And then with an open mouth and a cathartic sigh,

Just let it go.

Now just let yourself feel.

Feel the gentle push and pull of your breath.

No effort,

No control.

Now let yourself begin to loosen your grip on the day,

Using the gentle exhale to release you of anything that no longer serves you gently.

Don't force it.

Now in your mind's eye,

Picture yourself at the edge of a sunlit summer meadow.

The air is warm,

The light golden as it spills over a sea of tall grasses and wildflowers swaying gently in the breeze.

Each step you take into the meadow feels grounding,

Like the earth is holding you with quiet strength.

The scent of the blossoms drifting around you and the hush of nature settles something deep inside you.

This is a place where time slows,

A place where you can return to yourself,

Connect to your breath,

Your body,

And your heart.

As you wander further into this peaceful space,

Something catches your eye.

Two beautiful butterflies fluttering through the air just ahead.

Their wings shimmer in the sunlight,

One with soft golden hues,

The other brushed in silvers and sky blues.

They dance around each other in loops and spirals,

Never quite still,

Weaving an invisible thread between them.

Watch as they move together,

Apart,

Together again.

This is the dance of love.

These two butterflies represent a sacred connection,

You and a partner,

Past or present,

Or perhaps the deeper longing within you for union,

Intimacy,

And shared presence.

Their movement is not random,

It's the language of energy,

A dance of give and receive,

Of magnetism and space.

Love is like the wings of a butterfly,

Delicate enough to bruise,

Strong enough to carry you across the sky.

Let yourself rest in the beauty of this flight.

As you observe more closely,

Notice the shifts in their rhythm.

At times they are drawn irresistibly towards each other,

Their paths flowing in easy harmony.

At others,

There's a change,

A subtle tension,

And they drift apart,

Adjusting course,

Recalibrating their space.

This is the energetic dance of connection,

The pull of appreciation,

Gratitude,

Joy,

Trust,

Encouragement,

Playfulness and care,

And the push of fear,

Misunderstanding,

Criticism,

Blame,

Defensiveness or pain.

Each motion alters their flight,

A living response to what is felt,

Given,

Or withheld.

Two hearts in love are like butterflies in flight,

Never still,

Always responding,

Always learning the rhythm of each other's air.

And still they keep dancing,

Not in perfection,

But with presence,

Not without challenge,

But with choice.

This is the nature of love,

Alive,

Evolving,

In need of care and honest tending.

What if love isn't something we fall into or lose,

But something we practice,

Movement by movement,

Breath by breath,

Act by act.

Each butterfly holds its own rhythm,

Its own responsibility,

To honor its wings,

Its space,

And still find a way to meet the other in the air.

What makes love graceful isn't perfection,

But the devotion to return again and again with an open heart.

This is where love becomes sacred,

In the choice to return,

To listen,

To soften,

To stay open,

Even when the winds of life shift direction.

Each time we choose compassion over fear,

We offer our wings back to the dance.

Let that be your quiet reflection,

An offering to your own experience of love,

With others,

And with yourself.

Now allow yourself a few moments to simply be.

See the butterflies continuing their spiraling dance through the meadow,

Gliding between shafts of sunlight,

Tipping above the wildflowers riding soft currents of air.

Let them become your mirror,

A gentle reflection of your own tenderness,

Your courage,

Your capacity to connect.

Notice what arises,

Emotions,

Memories,

Sensations that move like wings within you.

There's nothing to fix.

Simply observe.

You are the sky,

Wide enough to hold it all.

And now,

As the butterflies begin to rise a little higher into the golden light,

Let these words float through you like a final breeze of understanding.

They dance beneath the summer sun,

Two hearts,

Two wings,

Forever one.

A flutter here,

A drifting there,

A silent vow hung in the air.

For love is not a perfect line,

But curves and spirals,

Shifts in time.

It's pulling close,

Then letting go,

Yet always choosing still to grow.

So,

When the breeze begins to change,

A storm's feeling sudden,

Sharp,

Or strange,

Remember,

Wings may bend but not break.

When love is real,

It's worth the ache.

Like the butterflies,

We're always learning how to fly beside one another,

To meet,

To hold,

And to honor the space between.

Now,

Take a slow,

Nourishing breath in,

And a long,

Slow breath out.

Slowly start to return to your body,

To the gentle weight of your limbs,

To the natural rhythm of your breath.

As you return to your day,

Carry this quiet knowing,

Love is not stillness,

But movement,

Not perfection,

But presence,

Not always easy,

But always a choice.

When you're ready,

Let your eyes flicker open.

I invite you to carry this feeling of lightness and tenderness back into your world.

Thank you for sharing this practice with me today.

Namaste.
