Hello and thank you for joining me today for this meditation that is designed to soothe your mind.

So get comfortable however that may be,

Sitting up,

Laying down,

Just finding a comfortable way to rest.

Let your body completely soften.

If you're laying down,

Letting your body relax down to the ground,

Or if you're seated,

Checking in,

Check that you've got your long tall spine and your shoulders are relaxed.

Bring your focus to your breath and notice how it gently flows in and out.

Breathe in and notice the cool air that enters your nose and as you exhale allow that cool air to bring a wave of calmness to your body.

Breathe in the cool air and exhale as your whole body softens and relaxes a little bit more.

I'm not changing the breath in any way,

Just observing the natural flow,

The natural air and flow.

Notice how effortlessly you breathe.

Imagine your mind as a vast and open sky.

This is your sky.

See your sky wide and endless above you.

Notice what you see in your sky.

Notice the colours.

Are there birds?

What kind of clouds do you see?

Let your sky reflect,

Let the clouds reflect any thoughts,

Heaviness,

Distractions or worries.

But with every breath you notice that your sky becomes a little clearer,

A little more blue.

With every breath your sky becomes a little more luminous.

With every breath out you feel your clouds slowly dissolving and drifting further and further away.

Inhale as your sky becomes clearer and exhale as you watch your clouds fade away.

Inhale,

Notice the blue of your sky becoming more vibrant and exhale.

Notice how fresh and calm the air feels around you.

Your sky becomes so blue and so clear that the golden sun begins to rise.

It warm light spreads gently filling the whole sky with brightness and you feel the sunshine warming your body,

Relaxing every muscle and every cell.

You feel the sunshine raise on your skin.

It touches your forehead,

Your chest,

Your heart,

Your arms,

Legs and all the way down towards your toes.

Your mind is calm and clear.

Your mind is fast like the open sky and peaceful like a perfect sunny day.

Let yourself rest here as you soak in this beautiful day within your mind.

And if any distractions or thoughts do appear,

See them like clouds and watch them float away,

Returning your focus to the clear blue sky and the warm golden light of the sun.

Begin to deepen your breath as you come back to the present and see your sky in your mind once more.

Breathe in the bright blue sky and breathe out.

Watch any clouds gently pass by.

Breathe in the sunshine that's glowing brightly within your blue sky and exhale.

Let the sunshine rays wash all over your body.

Take another long and deep breath,

Breathing in all these different sensations,

The clear blue sky,

The energy of the sunshine and exhale as you feel these sensations wash all over your body down towards your toes and let this clear and peaceful energy stay with you as you gently begin to awaken.
