Hello and thank you for joining me today.

My name's Kareen and today I'm going to guide you through a relaxing meditation.

This meditation is perfect to use for Shavasana after your physical yoga practice or you may just want to use it to totally relax your mind and body.

So get comfortable laying down if that's accessible to you today.

Take any wiggles that you need to.

Take a long deep breath in and as you exhale let your body relax a little bit more.

Let your eyes close and feel your body as it sinks into the earth beneath you.

As you lay feel the gentle support of the ground holding you with love and care.

Feel the support as your heels rest on the ground,

Your legs,

Your back,

Shoulders,

Arms and your head.

Take a long and deep breath in and let it go.

Let each breath guide you further into stillness.

Let's take a couple more deep breaths.

Inhale,

Long deep breath.

Breathe into the belly.

Feel the belly rise.

See how it feels to pause the breath at the top and release.

Inhale,

Pausing at the top.

Let your lungs fill with fresh air and let go.

As you lay here,

I invite you to imagine that you're standing in a beautiful forest.

The sun is warm as it filters through the tall trees and casts a golden light onto a path ahead.

A gentle breeze rustles the leaves carrying the scent of wildflowers.

This place feels calm and safe,

Almost familiar as if it's been waiting for you to return.

You take a slow step forward along the path lit up by the sun and as you begin to walk along this path,

Each step feels lighter than the one before,

As if with each movement you're leaving behind anything that you no longer need.

Any tension,

Any worries,

Any heaviness,

Feeling lighter and lighter.

On your walk,

You notice a small wooden gate that looks inviting.

It gently swings open,

Welcoming you in.

Behind the gate,

There's a hidden sanctuary filled with vibrant flowers,

Soft grass,

And a crystal clear pond.

This garden is all yours,

A place of healing,

Of peace and rest.

You take a moment to wander in the garden.

The air feels so soft on your skin.

The warmth of the sun caresses your face.

You hear the sounds of birds singing in the distance.

You hear the hum of the bees as they drift from flower to flower.

You notice that by the pond,

There's a soft patch of grass.

It's shaded by an ancient tree with wide branches.

You lay here under the tree and you feel the calm wash over you like waves on a quiet shore.

The tree whispers to you,

Reminding you that everything you need is within you,

That this stillness,

This peace is always here,

Waiting for you to return.

As you lay here,

You close your eyes.

You listen to the gentle rhythm of your breath.

And with each breath,

Your body becomes lighter and more relaxed,

Like a leaf floating on a calm river.

Time slows.

There's nowhere else to be and nothing else to do.

You are simply here,

Resting,

Held by the earth and completely at peace.

With every breath in,

Feel your body absorbing the soft golden light of the sun,

Filling and warming every part of your body.

And as you exhale,

Feel yourself releasing anything heavy or anything that no longer serves you.

Inhale,

Breathing in the soft golden light of the sun.

Inhale,

Releasing any heaviness.

And let each breath take you deeper into calm,

Deeper into your centre.

Pause here.

Bathe in this stillness,

In this beautiful garden of peace.

Feel your whole body relaxing more and more with each breath.

Feel the beautiful sunlight shining down on you.

Feel the sun's energy as it flows through your body.

And with every breath out,

Feel your body sinking,

Melting into the ground more and more.

If you wish to stay in this garden for a little bit longer,

You may want to pause the recording.

But when you do,

Feel ready to leave the garden.

You slowly make your way back,

Taking your time,

Feeling the sun on your skin and the solid ground beneath you.

You find your way back to the wooden gate.

You walk back down the forest path,

Carrying with you this deep sense of calm and ease.

With every breath,

Feel your body returning to the room,

To the present moment.

No rush,

Just gentle awareness.

Feel your body as it rests against the ground.

And let's take a deep breath in,

And a big releasing exhale out the mouth.

And again,

Inhale,

Deep energising breath,

And exhale,

Relax.

Wiggle your fingers and toes as you invite movement back to your body.

And slowly adding more movement,

Maybe giving your legs a big hug or taking a big stretch.

Know that this sense of calm is always within you,

Just waiting for you to come home to it.

And again,

Slowly make your way to a seat.

Just notice how you feel,

Without any judgment,

Just observing your body and your mind.

And when you're ready,

We can bring the hands together at the heart and take a bow.

Namaste.

Thank you for joining me today.

I hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

Looking forward to meditating with you more.
