Welcome to this meditation brought to you by Create the Calm.
Find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Let your body settle into stillness.
Close your eyes if that feels right.
This practice is here to help you quiet the voice of doubt and soften the edges of negative self-talk.
So take a slow,
Deep breath in and exhale gently.
Let yourself arrive fully into this moment.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the natural rise and fall of your chest.
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
With every inhale,
Imagine drawing in calm.
With every exhale,
Imagine releasing tension.
Silently say to yourself,
In I receive peace.
In I release doubt.
Now gently bring to mind a recent moment when self-doubt or negative thoughts spoke loudly.
You don't need to linger on the story.
Just notice how it feels in your body.
Where do you sense it?
Is it in your chest?
Your stomach?
Your jaw?
Take a breath into that space.
Offer yourself kindness in that exact spot.
Whisper inwardly,
I hear you.
I see you.
You don't have to be so loud.
Now imagine that the critical voice inside you softens,
Like a radio being turned down.
In its place,
Invite a gentler voice,
One of compassion,
Patience,
And support.
Let this voice say things you long to hear.
I am doing my best.
I am allowed to grow at my own pace.
I am worthy of love,
Even in my imperfections.
Breathe these words into your heart.
Let them replace the harshness with warmth.
As we close,
Rest in these affirmations.
Repeat them silently after me if you wish.
My inner voice is becoming kinder each day.
I choose compassion over criticism.
I am whole exactly as I am.
Once again,
I am more than my doubts.
My inner voice is becoming kinder each day.
I choose compassion over criticism.
I am whole exactly as I am.
Take one last deep breath in,
And slowly release it.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying this softness with you into the rest of your day.
