Hey friend,
I hope you're ready to get some really great sleep tonight.
And not just any sleep,
But miracle sleep.
I remember when I was a kid,
Even though I grew up Jewish,
We celebrated Christmas.
And I would wake up Christmas morning and think,
Wow,
There's all these presents and somehow Santa made it down my chimney.
That's so cool.
While I was asleep,
This miracle happened.
And for us adults,
As silly as that sounds,
I think on some deep level,
We all want it to be true,
That we go to sleep when we wake up to a miracle.
And I think it is true on a lot of levels.
Go ahead and get into bed and get comfortable.
I hope it's just the right temperature for you.
The room is dark.
It's quiet.
And you're ready to rest and get a fantastic night of sleep.
And miracles do happen.
Sometimes we wake up and we get an amazing text or phone call,
Or we just feel good.
Or something in the world has shifted.
And as you go to sleep,
Invite the opportunity and the possibility of miracles.
And to invite miracles into our lives,
We have to be open.
We have to put down that intellectual part of our mind that wants to analyze everything and control and just open up our hearts and let go.
It's actually a lot like going to sleep.
There's nothing you can actually do to fall asleep.
You have to just let go.
So allow yourself to start to melt into your bed.
Allow any excess thoughts to start to drift away.
Almost like it's in a cloudy day and the clouds just start moving off.
And the sky becomes clear.
It just happens.
As you take a few slow deep breaths,
And as you allow yourself to start to drift off into the night,
You allow your mind to just start to clear.
There's no point in trying to hold on to the clouds.
As you allow the muscles in your body to relax,
You're going to sleep with this awareness.
And as you rest,
Miracles can happen.
And tonight,
You're just planting the seed.
You're just kind of getting out of the way.
You're probably wired to always be doing,
Always be thinking.
But allow yourself right now just to start to let go.
Let your shoulders drop away from your ears.
There's this vast,
Vast universe out there with comets and shooting stars,
Asteroids,
Planets and stars.
All of creation is a miracle.
As far as we know,
It came out of one point of energy.
I heard a philosopher say once about the Big Bang,
Just give us one miracle and we'll explain the rest.
If everything has come out of a miracle,
That means they're a miracle.
And the fact that you can fall asleep every night,
Disappear into the dimension of dreams,
And then respawn the next day is also a miracle.
Right now,
As you fall asleep,
There are beautiful songs being played in the stars.
There's art warming in nebulas,
There are planets being born.
Life is taking form,
All while you sleep.
As you start to fall deeply into sleep.
As you start to let go of the day,
You can almost feel this miracle energy inside your heart.
It's the same energy that twinkles in the stars and in other human beings' eyes and in animals and plants and all of life.
As you fall asleep tonight,
Subconsciously,
Somewhere very deep inside your being,
You're making the decision to put down that worrying mind and just let life flow.
Allow the miracle of life to flow through you.
Tomorrow there's going to be a beautiful present waiting for you.
You've been waiting for this present and it's been waiting for you.
All of life is just waiting for you to let it in.
Feel the palms of your hands opening.
The bottom of your feet relaxing.
Your jaw nice and gentle.
Your shoulders down.
Your chest calm.
Your stomach filling with air like a balloon and then releasing it.
Any last tension just leaving your body.
The mantra as you fall asleep is,
I'm open to receive miracles.
I'm open to receive miracles.
I'm open and ready to receive miracles.
The river of life is slowly and gently taking you down,
Down river.
You're not fighting it,
You're allowing it to move you into a deep sleep.
You're allowing miracles to enter your life even as you're asleep.
The entire universe is conspiring to bring you this miracle.
And it's just been waiting for you to be ready.
And now you're ready.
And now it's time to sleep.
Drop down into that place of deep,
Deep rest.
And now it's time to sleep.
