Hey there,

Welcome back to the grounded sleep podcast.

I'm David and tonight we are going for the sleep that we dream of.

I have to credit my good friend Marjorie who's a wonderful meditation teacher for coming up with that.

The sleep that we dream of.

What is the sleep that you dream of?

Is it getting more sleep?

Is it having lucid dreams?

Is it processing emotion and growing in your sleep?

What is the sleep that you are dreaming of?

And can you set an intention tonight to start to have it and experience it?

So get into bed and nice and comfortable.

Hopefully you've sent out your last mean email or tweet.

Bye bye world.

I'll see you tomorrow.

And you can put everything in your life down.

There's nothing left to do except have the sleep that we are dreaming of.

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Take a nice big deep breath in.

And easy soft sigh out.

I know sleep is this almost chore that we have to do.

Ah,

I got to go to sleep again.

So I'm not tired tomorrow.

But see if you can flip that around.

Sleep is this miracle where your whole being gets to rest and reset.

Maybe travels through the astral planes.

Do things your physical body can't.

Meet people in the spirit realms.

Touch on deep layers of creativity.

There is so much that sleep has to offer.

As you breathe nice and deeply and slowly.

Then you open the energetic door for sleep and allow it to give you the gifts that it has to offer.

What are those gifts for you tonight?

Let your body start to feel a little heavy as it melts into the bed.

You can start to allow each part of your mind to go to sleep.

The critical part.

The planning part.

The part of your mind that always wants to control everything.

Just allow all these parts of your mind to just go to sleep.

They're not going to bring you any benefit right now.

And if there is any mind chatter,

Just show that mind chatter that you are laying down.

Your awareness is calm.

And you don't mind.

You don't mind what your mind is doing.

Eventually it will give up and quiet down.

Drop your shoulders.

Perhaps you open your palms to the sky.

As your breath slows you have a nice sense of appreciation for life.

For the life you've lived.

And you're inviting in a really deep rest tonight.

And it's time to really get the sleep that you dream of.

Set that intention right now.

It may be to heal,

To create,

To relax,

To regenerate,

To travel and explore.

This is just a rest in the unmanifested.

The deep ocean of sleep.

Slow that breath down.

Relax your jaw,

Your eyes.

Relax your muscles.

Relax your stomach.

Relax the bottom of your feet and the palms of your hands.

And in the center of your chest,

Feel the intention of having the highest quality sleep that you can have.

You're not just going to have any sleep tonight.

It's going to be special.

When you are ready to receive it.

Allow yourself to slowly melt into the darkness,

Into the peace of the night.

Allow yourself to start to transition from this world to the next.

Surrender yourself to this deep,

Deep surrender.

Surrender yourself to the deep place of rest.

Just let go.

The doorway to sleep is through relaxation.

Take up any responsibility and just be free.

Untie yourself tight on both sides of your feet.

Relax,

Relax,

Relax.

Tonight you're going to get the sleep that you dream of.

You're going to have a beautiful dream full of purpose and peace.

You're going to have a beautiful dream full of purpose and peace.

Let go and have a beautiful rest.
