With the sun being at its highest point in the sky in the year,

Summer brings with it an abundance of light in a real literal way.

On a spiritual and astrological level,

It also illuminates not just our external world,

But also our inner selves.

This light helps us see clearly where we are,

Where we've been,

And where we want to go.

I'm Debra Gettis.

Today we're going to focus on how to embrace this time as a point of deep personal reflection.

I'll guide you through a meditation to connect your heart and intuition,

Followed by some journaling prompts that will support you in setting powerful intentions to foster your personal goals.

This midway point in the calendar year is a great place to kind of press the pause button and reflect on what's occurred for you so far this year,

What plans you have,

And where you are with the intentions you set for yourself in January.

This is a time to listen to your inner voice,

Nurture your emotional well-being,

And set or reset intentions that align with your true self.

Let's move into a guided meditation to help you connect with your heart and intuition.

You might want to pause and grab a notepad or your journal if you don't have it handy so that you can write down your thoughts.

In response to some questions,

I'm going to pose to you as part of this process.

Are you ready?

Okay,

Let's begin.

Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

Let go of any tension or strength.

Let those shoulders drop.

Breathe in deeply again.

Feeling the air fill your lungs and exhale slowly,

Allowing yourself to relax even more.

Take a moment to observe the rise and fall of your belly.

In your mind's eye,

Go to your happy place.

Somewhere outdoors where you feel content and at peace.

The sky above you is clear and the sun is shining bright,

Bathing you in its warm golden light.

Feel the warmth and energy of the sunlight enveloping you,

Filling you with a sense of vitality and clarity.

Now,

Place your hand on your heart and focus on the rhythm of your heartbeat.

The heart chakra is green.

So imagine a clear green color,

Whatever color green shows up for you,

Emanating from the palm of your hand into your heart.

Feel the connection to your inner self,

Your intuition,

And your emotions.

As you breathe,

Allow yourself to sink deeper into this connection.

Now just imagine and visualize the sun illuminating and highlighting the areas of your life that need your attention and care right now.

Allow yourself to connect with your inner world,

Tuning into your emotions and intuition.

In this space of calm and clarity,

Tune in and ask yourself,

What emotion am I feeling right now?

Are you happy?

Sad?

Grateful?

Lonely?

Or at peace?

What do you feel?

And then what area of your life needs some nurturing and care?

What's maybe been a little neglected,

Put aside?

And what do you maybe want to release or let go of?

Or perhaps what needs to shift in your life?

If you were going to create an intention around what needs to shift,

What would that look like?

Hold this intention in your heart as you slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eye.

Now take out your journal and record any thoughts you have while they are present in your mind.

I'll give you a minute or so to do that.

Feel free to pause the recording if you need more time.

Okay.
