Hello and welcome to this Full Moon Meditation.
Working with the Moon offers a great opportunity to begin to understand and follow the cycles of nature,
To embrace the ebb,
Flow and rhythm of life.
The Full Moon can symbolise a time of completion and celebration or a chance for relief.
Using its heightened energies will illuminate and offer reflection to move us forward.
Begin by finding a comfortable and grounding space.
Start to take in the environment around you,
Allowing yourself to look up and down,
To the left and to the right,
Taking notice of all the things you see around you.
If it feels accessible for you,
I now invite you to cross arms over the body,
Allowing the hands to be placed over the back of the ribs,
Resting over each of the lungs.
Another option would be to just allow the arms to relax softly by the side.
Now beginning to find the breath,
Starting to breathe in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth,
Bringing a presence to the hands.
As you inhale,
Allowing the lungs to start to expand and as you exhale,
Allowing them to soften.
Inhaling 1,
2 and exhaling 2,
3,
4.
Inhaling 1,
2 and exhaling 1,
2,
3,
4.
Following your own rhythm and just staying aware of the hands and the connection to your lungs.
If it feels good to you,
We can start to extend that breath now.
Maybe breathing in for 3,
1,
2,
3 and exhaling for 6,
1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
If that feels too much,
You can just stay with the original option.
Listening to what feels best for you.
If you feel like you want to go a little bit further,
Allowing a little bit more of a release,
We can up that to another round.
So maybe breathing in for 4,
1,
2,
3,
4 and exhaling for 8,
1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7,
8.
You can always pause the recording if you want to spend a little bit longer practicing this breath work.
Now if you haven't already,
I'm going to invite you to close down the eyes.
Just using your memory now,
Just start to recall the space around you.
All the objects that you can remember from before you relax the eyes.
Now just letting go of them images.
I'm going to invite you to picture yourself sat.
The full moon is shining brightly in the sky.
A big bright light and it begins to shine down on you.
It creates safety to allow you to step into the fullness of who you are.
As you continue to sit in this light,
Allowing it to shine all over you,
You begin to notice that some parts of you aren't showing.
Using your awareness,
You begin to start to scan.
Starting at the top of the head,
Moving down through the face and the jaw,
The neck and the shoulders.
Down the right arm into the right hand.
Down the left arm and into the left hand.
Through the heart,
The stomach,
The waist and down the back of the body.
Down through the right leg,
The knee,
The car and the right foot.
And the left leg,
The knee,
The car and the left foot.
Scanning through the body.
And now invite you to start to move the breath through any of them shadowed parts.
As you do this,
The moon whispers her secrets of kindness to you.
She explains that she is here to help you release,
To honour your wholeness,
That with her help,
You'll understand yourself more and more.
Continuing to follow the breath.
Allowing each breath to become a love note to yourself.
Breathing in and out to illuminate the fullness of who you are.
