Hello and welcome,
My name is Donna McCallum and this is a very short guided meditation to really ground you,
Center you,
Bring you into silence and stillness.
So let's begin.
Take a deep breath in and out and another deep breath in and out and become aware of your body.
Scan your body for any feelings of stress or tension and see that tension as a blackness that moves down your body and out through into the floor.
Your breathing is becoming slower and steadier as you deeply relax.
And as you relax,
My voice goes with you.
Imagine a beautiful warm white light in the center of your chest and watch as that light begins to move down your body,
The center of your body and feel it as it brings the most delicious sensation of warmth and relaxation as it moves down your body,
Down your legs and then out into the earth.
And as the light moves into the earth,
It grounds you and brings a feeling of centeredness and watch as that light becomes like a route moving down,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down into the earth,
Anchoring you,
Creating the steady connection of you with earth,
You with nature.
The light moves down and finds this beautiful crystal and it wraps itself around this crystal and now as you take your next deep breath in,
Watch as that light moves up from the crystal deep in the earth,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up through your legs and up into your body,
Right back up the center line into your heart and now moving up through your heart,
Your throat,
Your face,
Right up out of the top of your head and right up through into the sky,
Connecting you between earth and sky,
Between material and spirit.
Now imagine the white light coming up from your center and now moving through the right hand side of your body and right out of the right hand side of your body,
Moving further out into the space and the same thing happens on the left hand side,
The light moves right from the center of your heart and out to the left hand side of your body and you can clearly feel,
Imagine,
See,
Sense this cross of white light moving through your body from earth to sky,
From right hand to left hand side,
Grounding,
Centering.
Now imagine that white light moving out through the front of your body and into the energetic space in front of your body and feel and notice the sensation as the same thing happens through the back of your body as well,
The light moving through into the energy space around the back of your body and so now you have the light beams pointing in six different directions,
From earth to sky,
Right to left,
Front to back,
Bringing you to this moment,
To this point of time,
Feeling truly yourself,
Be aware of the stillness as you're centered amongst the six beams of light.
Now finally imagine the beautiful warm light filling up your heart,
This is the seventh direction,
Your heart literally expanding,
Notice,
Feel it,
Expand your heart space with your breath,
Expanding your chest area with this gentle white light,
Filling it up with love,
Your heart center filled with love,
You are enough,
You are complete,
You are whole,
You are love.
Now with all of the beams of light moving through your physical body and your energetic body,
From this beautiful silence still centered place,
I'm going to count slowly back from ten to one and as I do you'll feel your awareness returning back into the room and you'll be able to bring with you the silence,
Stillness,
Centeredness,
Groundedness and presence,
Being present in the moment,
That presence that you feel right now,
You'll be able to bring it back into life.
Slowly awaken as I count from ten to one,
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Become aware of your body,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Start rubbing the tips of your fingers over each other,
Four,
Three,
Feeling awake,
Two and one,
Blink your eyes together and open them and take a deep breath in and out and just slowly,
Slowly and gently so that you stay in and bring this quality from the meditation into your day,
Very slowly and gently move from this place out into your day and if at any stage during today or this next week you feel rushed or panicked or stressed,
At any time you can quickly imagine those six beams of light connecting you from earth to sky,
Right to left,
Back and front and then the seventh beam expanding your heart area,
You can do that in ten seconds just to re-ground you,
Re-center you and bring you back into the peace of this moment.
