Hello and welcome to the Rebel Flock.

My name is Emma and thank you for joining me for this gentle guided evening pathway meditation.

Take a moment to settle,

Find a position that feels comfortable,

Supported and at ease.

Let your body grow heavy where it meets the ground or your bed and intentionally soften through your shoulders,

Your jaw,

Your belly.

Now bring awareness to your breath,

Noticing the gentle rhythm of the inhale and the soft release of the exhale.

No need to change it,

Just follow the natural flow and observe it.

I'd like you to imagine yourself stepping out onto a quiet pathway on a summer evening.

The air is warm but soft,

Touched with a hint of a cooling breeze.

Overhead the sky is painted in shades of gold and rose,

Fading slowly into twilight.

Feel the path beneath your feet,

Steady and familiar.

As you walk,

Notice how each step brings a little more ease into your body,

A little more spaciousness inside of you.

All around you,

The sounds of evening are alive.

Perhaps the rustle of leaves,

The distant call of the birds or the hum of crickets greeting the night.

All that you hear is part of this gentle symphony of late summer.

As you continue along the path,

Notice the way the light softens,

Shadows lengthen,

Colours deepen and the day slowly hands itself over to rest.

With each step,

Feel yourself also handing over,

Letting go of anything that no longer needs to be carried as you move towards rest.

Ahead you see a spot that invites you to pause,

Maybe a wooden bench or a smooth patch of grass.

Go ahead and take a seat.

Imagine the feeling of that support beneath you,

Holding you completely.

Here,

Allow yourself to breathe a little deeper.

Inhale the warmth of the late summer evening.

Exhale into stillness,

Presence and ease.

Let this be your invitation into the rest of your night.

A gentle pathway inward.

A reminder that just as the day softens into night,

You too can soften into stillness,

Rest and sleep.

If you're still with me and you can hear my voice,

When you're ready,

Take one more slow,

Nourishing breath.

And as you exhale,

Let yourself gently start to move back along the path,

Moving yourself back towards rest in the present moment.

Maybe you're going to be moving towards your bed.

Maybe you're already lying down.

Wherever you are,

Breathe in and exhale,

Ready for a deep,

Restful night's sleep.
