Hello and welcome to saltwater stillness.

A mini drop of mindfulness maritime style.

Each meditation shares a simple way to steady the mind and bring a bit of calm to your day.

No yoga mat required.

In this episode we play with tied to your breath.

So find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and allow your eyes to close if that feels natural.

Begin by noticing your breath.

No need to change it just feel it as it moves in and out.

Now imagine the tide in the harbour.

As you breathe in picture the water flowing gently toward the shore and as you breathe out imagine the tide slipping back to the ocean.

Inhale the tide rolls in.

Exhale the tide rolls out.

Let any thoughts that may pop in to come and go with that same rhythm.

There's no need to stop them.

Just allow them to drift like bits of seaweed carried by the current.

Rest here for a few more breaths.

Feeling the calm of the tide moving through you.

Inhaling the tide in.

Exhaling the tide rolls back out.

And when you are ready gently open your eyes and carry that harbour rhythm on into your day.
