Good morning.
I hope you're comfortable maybe looking out a window or at the cozy contours of your room,
Lying peacefully in bed or sitting up.
For this meditation,
I invite you to just stay where you're at,
Waking up,
Taking five minutes to be and breathe before you step into the hustle of your day.
This morning meditation doesn't have to be super formal,
Super rigid,
Super perfect.
We're just waking up.
It's just the morning.
Just take it all in,
The light,
The feeling of your body and your senses transitioning from sleep to waking.
The eyes might feel a little crusty.
The body's still heavy.
Let it be.
Notice your breath moving in all directions.
Notice the pressure and sensation in the back body against the mattress and the pillows.
And as your breath rises and falls,
The covers rise and fall with you.
Allow yourself to be heavy and soft here.
No rush,
No urgency.
And we'll just be quiet for a couple minutes to just feel into this moment just as it is.
The air on your skin,
The feeling of the covers rising and falling with your gentle breath,
And the weight of your body here on the mattress and the pillows.
Time to just be and breathe.
Wherever your mind is now,
Bring it back to the moment through the breath,
Through the senses.
It's just the morning.
May you bring this softness and ease and slowness to all the transitions of your day today.
Take a moment to pause,
To witness,
To feel whenever it's time for move to one thing to the next.
Thank you for meditating with me this morning.
May it be of benefit to you.
Have a beautiful day.
