Many of us know what it's like to say yes when we mean no, ignore our limits, or leave interactions feeling drained, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves. Boundaries are often talked about as ideas, but how do we begin to actually feel them within the body? This guided somatic practice explores boundaries through the lens of Somatic Experiencing and nervous system regulation. Using orienting, boundary gestures, and titrated awareness, we'll explore the relationship between our internal and external boundaries while noticing subtle shifts in activation, regulation, steadiness, and safety. This practice comes from The Body Is The Way course, where we explore somatic awareness, embodiment, and nervous system regulation through guided experiential practices.
