Good evening,

It's Gina here.

Tonight we're joining Leo for a very special adventure,

A journey that will take him all the way to the edge of our solar system to visit Neptune.

So get yourself comfortable,

Snuggle down in your bed,

And let's begin.

Leo is also lying in his bed,

Looking out his window.

The stars sparkle quietly above him.

And his little silver rocket gleams softly in the moonlight.

He smiles to himself.

I've been to so many wonderful places,

He whispers.

Mercury,

Venus,

Earth,

Mars,

Jupiter,

Saturn,

And Uranus.

But there's one last planet waiting for me,

Neptune,

The farthest world in our solar system.

He takes a deep,

Happy breath,

Feeling that familiar spark of excitement in his chest.

It's time to go,

He says softly.

He climbs into his rocket and fastens his belt.

The lights blink gently on the dashboard,

And the engine begins its soft,

Steady hum.

Three,

Two,

One,

Liftoff.

The rocket rises into the quiet night sky,

Past the rooftops and the treetops,

Past the clouds and into the dark velvet of space.

Leo decides to take a little detour so that he can pass each planet he's visited so far.

He quietly says hello to each one.

First Mercury,

Small and bright near the sun.

Then Venus,

Glowing gold and white.

Next comes Earth,

His beautiful home,

Blue oceans and white clouds.

He passes the red glow of Mars,

The golden stripes of Jupiter,

The shimmering rings of Saturn.

Further still,

The calm blue glow of Uranus.

The stars around him grow quieter,

The space between them darker,

Until finally,

Far ahead,

He sees a soft,

Deep blue light.

It's Neptune,

Shining like a sapphire in the distance.

He looks in wonder at the thin blue rings that go around Neptune,

A little like the rings of Saturn,

But much fainter.

They glitter like freshly fallen snow.

Thin clouds swirl gently across Neptune's surface.

It looks peaceful,

Quiet,

And full of mystery.

Leo drifts his rocket close and just watches.

Everything feels slower here,

Like time itself has taken a pause.

How beautiful,

He murmurs.

I made it all the way.

He doesn't need to land this time.

Neptune's surface isn't solid.

It's like a deep blue ocean of clouds and mysteries.

It feels enough just to look from the calm warmth of his rocket,

To float quietly and take it all in.

After a while,

He turns his rocket for home.

On his way there,

A shooting star glides across the black sky,

A bright silver line of light.

Leo smiles and closes his eyes for a moment to make a wish.

I wish for calm dreams,

He whispers.

For me,

For everyone I love,

For everyone in our solar system and beyond.

When his rocket lands beside his window,

The night outside is still and soft.

Leo changes into his pajamas,

Snuggles under his blanket,

And feels his pillow beneath his head.

He takes a deep,

Slow breath.

Now it's time for a gratitude and grounding practice,

Before he drifts into dreams.

If you are listening at home,

You are welcome to join in with Leo.

Leo takes a slow breath in,

Feeling the light of the stars fill him with calm,

And a slow breath out,

Feeling safe,

Steady,

And at home.

He can feel the weight of his body,

Lying in his comfortable bed.

As he thinks of all the wonderful places he's visited,

He also realises how much he loves his home planet.

He thinks quietly to himself,

I'm grateful for my home on Earth.

I'm grateful for the stars and the planets,

And I'm grateful for this calm feeling inside me.

He feels this warm,

Happy feeling in his heart and imagines it growing bigger and bigger.

It fills all the way to the top of his head,

Down into his arms and hands,

Down to his tummy and legs.

Soon he is feeling totally relaxed and happy.

Each breath feels slower now.

Leo drifts into peaceful sleep.

He dreams of floating gently through the quiet blue light of Neptune at the edge of the stars.

Thank you for joining us on this journey tonight.

If you enjoyed it,

Perhaps you'd like to visit one of the other planets tomorrow night,

Or catch Leo and his friends on one of their many other adventures.

Until then,

Good night my friend.
