Find a comfortable position where your body can rest easily.
Let your hands relax and your shoulders soften.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and gently exhale through your mouth.
Begin to notice your breathing without trying to change it.
Simply become aware of the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale.
Let it be gentle,
Unforced,
And easy.
As you rest here,
Allow your thoughts to slow down.
You don't need to control or chase them away.
Just let them pass like clouds in the sky.
Invite God's presence into this quiet moment.
You might say in your heart,
Lord,
I'm here.
Feel his peace beginning to surround you like soft light.
This is sacred space,
The stillness where your soul meets his spirit.
Scripture reminds us,
Be still and know that I am God.
Let those words settle deep within you.
Each breath is an opportunity to surrender,
To release the need to figure everything out.
Trust that God is already working things together for your good.
If your mind begins to wander,
Gently return it to your breath.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest and in your heart repeat,
I am still before you,
Lord.
Now imagine your heart is a calm lake.
The surface is smooth and quiet and in that reflection you begin to sense God's gentle whisper.
He may not speak in words,
But through peace,
A knowing,
Or a feeling of light.
If something rises within you,
A word,
An image,
Or a nudge,
Just notice it without judgment.
You don't have to analyze it right now.
Trust that God will make his guidance clear in time.
Let his love fill every part of your being.
Feel his presence in your heart,
Steady and sure.
Now silently say,
God,
I open my heart to your guidance.
Rest in that openness for a few breaths.
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Notice your body,
Your breath,
And the space around you.
Take one more deep breath in and release it fully.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes gently,
Carrying this peace with you.
Remember,
God's voice often speaks in the quiet moments,
Not in the noise or hurry.
Be still,
And you will know he is near.
