Take a deep breath and allow yourself to land here.
We're just going to reconnect with the body quickly.
So feel your feet on the floor.
Feel your breath filling your lungs,
Expanding your belly,
And gently leaving your body.
In again and out.
Clasp your hands together in your lap and concentrate on the feeling of one hand holding and the other being held.
Feel the sensation of your own skin,
The softness,
The feel of the muscles moving.
Feel your bones and knuckles.
Squeeze each hand gently and notice how it feels.
Remember how many things your hands do.
Every day,
Maybe move them around,
Swap them over.
So if the right was holding the left,
Now let the left hold the right.
And again,
Notice the sensation of one hand holding and one hand being held.
Keep breathing slow and steady.
And as you're breathing,
And as you're noticing the sensations of your hands,
Let some part of you lock this feeling in.
This sense of calm and presence and acknowledgment of your own body,
The physical space that you take up in the world.
Remember that you can access this at any time,
Anywhere.
You can sit quietly,
On the phone,
In the car,
In a meeting.
At times when nobody else sees,
And you can hold one of your hands in the other and take a deep breath and notice just briefly the feeling of holding and being held.
Stroke a thumb gently,
Give your fingers a squeeze.
Remember that it's important that you are your own best friend.
You're always with you.
And be as kind to yourself as you possibly can.
You'll always be here to hold your hand.
Take another couple of deep breaths in and out.
Allow yourself to feel connected to your body.
And then give your shoulders a little shake.
Blink your eyes open.
Take a deep,
Refreshing breath in and continue with your day.
Thank you for sharing this few moments with me.
