Welcome to your meditation,

Your time,

Your space,

Your sanctuary,

Your quiet place,

Your inner stillness where you can just be yourself.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position,

Closing your eyes if that feels right for you.

Now inhale and exhale with a gentle sigh.

Inhale and exhale,

Releasing,

Relaxing your whole body.

You are here right now,

You are here breathing,

With nothing else to do,

You are not here to solve problems or contemplate your day,

You are here to breathe,

To listen and return to your inner stillness,

Your sanctuary where you are safe and free.

You are always in control of your practice and if at any point you want to come out of this meditation,

Just count to three and open your eyes.

But for now,

Allow the breath to flow naturally,

In and out,

And I invite you to tense your whole body and your face,

Tense every muscle of your body as much as possible,

Squeezing everything together and then relax fully.

Let's do that again.

Tense your whole body and your face,

Really squeeze everything together,

Then relax,

Relax your whole body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes and fingers,

Enjoy this relaxed feeling for a moment,

Relaxing your head,

Your face,

Clenching your jaw and relaxing your tongue,

Relaxing shoulders and neck,

Your arms all the way down to your fingers,

Your chest as it moves with the in and the out breath,

Relaxing your hips,

Your legs and your feet,

Your whole body is relaxed and now I invite you to imagine that you are standing in a beautiful garden,

You can feel the soft grass beneath your feet and smell the faint perfume of lavender bushes,

The garden stretches as far as the eye can see with greenery and trees all around you,

You hear birds singing,

Leaves rustling gently in the breeze,

Take a moment to enjoy this beautiful scenery,

You look up to the sky up into the vast blue space,

There are a few tiny clouds drifting,

Allowing themselves to flow in the movement of the gentle breeze,

There are birds flying above you and you marvel at their freedom,

At the liberty they must feel being able to fly.

You want to join them,

To fly with them so freely,

So cheerfully,

You want to take off soar into the sky but as you glance down you see chains anchoring you to the ground,

These chains are what are holding you back from lifting up,

From breaking free,

They are all the negative beliefs you have about yourself,

They are all the self limiting thoughts,

All the emotions that don't serve you,

The past and the worries about the future,

Really imagine these chains around your ankles,

You hear them whisper,

You can't fly,

These chains are miserable and misery loves company,

They want to hold you back from flying,

From setting yourself free,

But as you look closer you realise that it's you holding on to these chains,

That you're the one holding on to these self limiting beliefs,

The negative thoughts,

The future worries and everything that has happened or didn't happen in the past,

These chains bog you down,

Hold you prisoner but now you realise that you have the power to let them go,

That if you let go,

You'll be able to fly and reach your full potential,

You look up to the sky once more at the birds that are flying so freely and you make the decision to join them,

To release yourself from everything that's holding you back,

To let go of the chains,

Picture removing your grip from these chains,

Feel the weight of the chains drop and how light you suddenly feel,

You feel the weight of the chains drop and notice how light you suddenly feel as though you were exhaling deeply,

Allow your whole body to relax,

Allow your mind to relax because you know that you have set yourself free and with this freedom you feel yourself getting lighter,

Lighter and lighter,

So light that it feels as though you are floating,

Floating like a cloud in the sky,

Like the birds soaring,

You find yourself aloft,

Just floating and drifting and now you feel yourself sinking slowly,

Safely,

Like you are being held by a cloud and you drift deeper down and as you drift deeper and into even deeper levels of relaxation,

I'm going to count from 10 down to 0 and when I reach 0 you will reach the earth safely,

10 going down,

8 deeper and deeper,

7,

6,

5,

4,

Feeling more and more relaxed,

3,

2,

1 and all the way down to 0.

Coming back to your breath,

Experiencing yourself fully as you truly are,

Beyond the physical body you are bliss,

Beyond the mind you are bliss,

Beyond your thoughts you are bliss,

Your true inner state of peace and I invite you to repeat these affirmations silently or out loud,

I deserve to relax,

I deserve to be happy,

I am at peace with myself,

I appreciate who I am,

I value myself as a person,

All people have value and I am a valuable human being,

I accept myself,

I accept myself just the way I am,

I can overcome difficulties,

I accept myself,

I am enough,

I feel confident in my abilities,

I accept myself just the way I am,

I accept myself,

I love myself.

The subconscious mind can so easily arrange for you to achieve whatever objectives you have in mind once you detach your thoughts from the problem and make a firm decision about the direction in which you want to go.

The way this mind works is governed by strict universal laws,

For whenever you allow your conscious mind to become focused on your problems,

You drag your problems into the future with you and they automatically attract still more of the same.

Your own negative thought patterns provide the energies that feed into your problems and keep them alive.

So just relax,

Relax your whole body,

Switch the polarity around and focus your thought energy on how you want things to be rather than on how you don't want things to be.

Withdraw all your thought energy from the problems so that you attract the solution.

And now more and more you become aware of a transformation taking place in your personality and you adopt a more relaxed approach to life,

You believe in yourself more every day as you learn to act in kindness,

Realising that it's ok to let go of anything that is no longer serving you,

To live a simple,

Relaxed life.

You realise that you are gaining control of your life,

Control of your thoughts,

Your feelings and emotions,

You feel a tremendous sense of satisfaction knowing that whatever happens you can deal with the situation in a calm and relaxed way,

You know that the key to good health is a calm and relaxed attitude.

Now returning once again to your breath,

Aware of how relaxed you feel,

How calm and in control,

In this state of mind you can achieve anything,

Let go of any doubts or any feelings of being overwhelmed or anxious,

In this state of pure relaxation you can achieve anything you want,

Power through any difficulties and achieve the outcome you desire.

I am at ease,

I feel peaceful,

Happy and perfectly in control of my life,

I easily cope with everything that happens,

I am safe,

I am in control,

I feel calm,

I matter.

Returning to your physical body now,

Bring your awareness to the point between your nostrils and upper lip,

Keep your focus there and follow the natural rhythm of your breath as it flows in and out,

In and out and out like the ocean waves.

Slowly bringing your awareness to your toes and fingers,

You can start to move them now,

Bringing yourself back to your physical body,

Picture the space around you,

Feel what's beneath you and you can come out of this meditation now or choose to continue meditating for as long as you wish.
