Welcome to your 10 minute sleep meditation.
Tonight is about restoration.
Your body has carried so much,
Perhaps treatments or fatigue or uncertainty.
Taking a slow breath in and a longer breath out.
Feel the surface beneath you.
The mattress supporting your back,
Your hips,
Your legs.
Let gravity do the work.
If it feels comforting,
You might place one hand on your heart.
And with each exhale,
Whisper silently,
Softening.
Now bring awareness slowly through the body.
Nothing to do,
Just noticing your feet and toes releasing.
Your calves and knees loosening.
Your thighs are heavy.
Your hips and pelvis supported.
Your lower belly is soft and unguarded.
Your chest is rising and falling gently.
Your shoulders are unburdened.
Arms and hands are resting.
Neck and throat are open.
Face is smooth.
If parts of your body feel tender or numb or changed,
Simply acknowledging that with kindness.
Nothing to fix,
Just presence.
Imagine a dim golden light above you.
Warm,
Gentle,
Healing.
Not intense,
Just comforting.
This light slowly drapes over you like a blanket.
Over your head,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your legs,
Down to your feet.
This light carries one message.
You are allowed to rest.
Even if sleep comes in waves,
Even if you wake in the night,
Rest is still happening.
Noticing the gentleness of your breath.
Inhale and exhale.
And if your mind wanders,
Gently returning to the feeling of being supported.
Nothing else matters right now.
Letting yourself drift towards sleep at your own pace.
One more deep inhale and exhale.
Letting yourself enter into a deep,
Deep slumber.
Thank you for being here.
