As you inhale,
What do you smell?
The sweet scents of your home?
Aromas of something simmering on the stove?

Now bring your awareness to your ears.
The right ear listening.
The left ear listening.
Listening to the sounds all around you.
The sounds within your space.
Can you hear the sounds at a distance?
Cars passing by.
An airplane flying overhead.
Wind blowing.
Birds outside.
Now bring your awareness to the sounds inside your space.
The comforting and familiar sounds of your home.
The ticking of the clock.
The dog breathing or scratching.
Perhaps the dryer running.
Now bring your awareness to the sounds of your body.
The digestive tract relaxing.
The heart beating.
The lungs breathing.
Normal breath in,
Normal breath out.
Bring your awareness back to the physical body.
The feet resting.
Right foot.
Left foot.
Letting go of the tension from today.
The right leg.
Both hips.
Pelvis.
The ribcage.
The chest.
Shoulders.
Right arm.
Left arm.
Both arms together.
The wrists.
The right hand.
The left hand.
Both hands relaxing.
Resting deeply with ease.
The heart center.
Releasing whatever is no longer needed.
Making space.
Transitioning into ease.
Shoulders.
Letting go of the stress from the day.
The neck.
The chin.
The upper lip.
The lower lip.
Releasing the root of the tongue.
Letting go of the words that were said.
And the unsaid.
The nose.
The lips.
The right cheekbone.

The eyes softening.
The brows.
The forehead.

The crown of the head.

Like a warm blanket of earth beneath you.

Like a soft hand beginning at the crown of your head.
Gently massaging away any tension you may feel.
This nurturing light moves slowly down your forehead.
Easing around your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your neck.
It flows across your shoulders and arms.
Soothing away any aches or heaviness.
Your back softens.
Your chest expands with ease.
Your belly relaxes.
And your legs feel grounded and soothed.
Each breath carries the golden warmth deeper into your muscles.
Dissolving the fatigue of the day and restoring your body's natural ease.
Abiding in pure awareness.
Allowing the release of stress and tension.
Letting the mind,
Body,
And spirit to renew.
Creating space within for peace and balance.
Honoring the deep need for restoration and self-care.
