Calm and Serenity with Mindful Breathing with Music Welcome!
During this exercise we're going to give ourselves the gift of deep abdominal breathing using images and music.
At this point we may see an enhancement is taking place to be able to breathe more mindfully without judgment or self-criticism,
Setting the stage for a deeper connection between our bodies,
Thoughts,
And emotions,
And the music that is playing.
Whatever your current place is,
It's the right place for you right now.
Just let it happen while you let the music flow through your body,
Your mind,
And your whole being.
So getting into a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down or even standing,
This is the place and position you're going to feel more comfortable,
Your warm nest.
Make sure that your spine is straight but not stiff.
And now taking a couple of big deep breaths with me,
Breathing in and then breathing out.
Big deep breath in,
Breathing in and breathing out.
And now settling in,
Noticing your inhalations causing your abdomen to expand outward and how when you exhale your abdomen is returning to its original position.
Noticing how with each in-breath you are nourishing every cell in your body with the air you're taking in.
And noticing with every out-breath how you are releasing all tensions into the air around you,
Relaxing your whole being and letting the breath carry you to a new place,
A comfortable place,
A soothing place.
You are completely all right.
There's nothing else you need to do except breathe,
Noticing how your body is becoming fully relaxed.
And now letting go of the structured breathing,
Breathing in and breathing out,
And breathing in and breathing out.
And now again deepening our experience with a couple deep breaths with me,
Breathe in deeply,
And again letting go of the breathing.
One more time,
Breathe in deeply,
And releasing the breath.
And now again,
Breathe normally while in this relaxed state.
Give yourself the time you need following your own rhythm and your own tempo.
Now we're going to listen to some relaxing music.
Feel free to adjust the volume to your needs.
Some people like to hear calming background music while others prefer to let a fuller volume of music flow more intensely throughout their body.
So let the music take you to where you need to go right now while feeling the music in your body.
Notice the sensations you're feeling,
Following the sensations in your body as the music plays.
And just let the music flow.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
And continue to breathe as long as it feels good while the music plays.
