Greetings and welcome to today's meditation.
The Ink Release.
Letting go of overwhelm.
Close your eyes and invite your breath to deepen.
Let the inhale expand your chest a little bit.
Gently,
Slowly,
Intentionally.
And the exhale soften your belly.
Allow it to be with you.
Imagine yourself now as a quiet observer at the bottom of the sea.
The water here is still and dark but safe and peaceful.
You begin to notice the presence of an octopus nearby.
It's calm,
It's poised and deeply attuned to its surroundings.
The octopus senses shifts in its environment.
It knows when to stay and when to release.
Watch as this wise being subtly emits a cloud of ink.
A swirling release of darkness that moves gracefully through the water.
This ink isn't an act of fear.
It's an ancient ritual of protection and letting go.
Can you see it?
Now feel your own body preparing to release.
With your next deep inhale,
Call forward the part of you carrying the most pressure,
Stress or overwhelm tonight.
As you exhale,
Imagine this part gathering all the weight.
All of it.
And allowing it to be concentrated in your hands or your belly or wherever it feels right to it.
Just gather it all up and allow it to be there.
Remember,
You are safe here.
You're being held here.
Inhale deeply again.
And as you exhale,
Visualize yourself releasing this overwhelm.
Just as the octopus releases its ink.
Can you feel that?
Can you feel the lightness in your body?
Are you noticing which part of your body feels light?
Free?
Flexible?
Tune into that.
See the darkness leaving your body.
See the energy,
That weight energy,
Leaving your body.
Whatever its form.
It might be a color.
It might be a pressure.
It might be situations or memories.
Whatever it is,
Observe it as it's leaving your body.
It's twisting and swirling away from you.
It's creating space around you.
Notice that the water stays calm.
You stay calm.
The release is natural and effortless.
Feel your nervous system soften with each breath out.
You may feel tingling or warmth or even lightness as you continue letting go.
Now,
Just breathe in clarity.
How does that feel to take that in?
The clarity that's pure.
Cleansing.
Light filling.
Energy restoring.
And it's coming in,
Filling that space that the overwhelm once occupied.
Allow yourself to connect deeply with that.
Feeling it from your head top to your foot bottom.
Allowing it to go wherever it needs to go.
Notice how your body responds to it.
Exhale any lingering tension.
Know that like the octopus,
You hold the power to release what no longer serves you.
What you no longer wish to carry.
You're making room for what will serve you.
What will support you.
Sit here for a few more moments.
Enjoying the quiet connection.
Simply resting in this clear space.
There's no rush.
You can be here.
You can be with it.
Absorbing.
Noticing.
Connecting.
Feel that.
Notice that.
And whenever you're ready,
Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
Slowly open your eyes.
Returning back to the space,
Place and time with ease.
Knowing that you can return anytime you want to.
Anytime you need to.
