Hello,
And welcome to this tarot practice.
I invite you now to get settled in,
Make your space sacred in whatever way makes sense to you.
I'm going to light a candle,
Take a sip of water,
And get my tarot deck ready.
If you already have a card in mind,
You can leaf through your deck and pull that card out,
Or you can work with a card for this session by beginning to shuffle.
I'll shuffle with you.
As you shuffle,
Call in your spirit helpers,
Call in your ancestors,
Call in any guides,
Angels,
Spirit beings that have your highest and best interest at heart.
You can call in the elements,
You can call in the directions,
You can call in elements of nature,
You can call in your higher self,
Any and all beings known or unknown to you,
Who have your highest and best interest at heart and want to see you succeed.
As you're shuffling,
Think of your query,
What it is that you want to know.
I like to ask questions in my daily practice if there's not something specific on my mind,
Like addressing my spirit helpers,
What would you have me know?
Or my new favorite,
How can I best make use of this moment?
Take a deep breath in,
And let that go.
Breathe in one more time,
And let that go,
Fully dropping into this moment.
When you feel that you're ready to pull a card,
Pull one,
In whatever way makes sense to you.
Look at your card,
Hold the card in your hand,
Looking at the images,
The colors,
Memorize as many details as you can about the card.
Connect them to feelings,
Associations.
When you feel that you have a strong image,
Of what this card looks like,
You can close your eyes,
And sitting with dignity,
Your front receptive,
Your back strong,
Begin to notice your breath.
Bring to your mind's eye,
The image of the card,
Recalling as many details as you can.
Imagine yourself holding that card in your hand,
And as if this card could come closer and closer to you,
So close that you're walking into,
Or falling into the scene in front of you.
Imagine yourself now on the edges of this scene,
And see what you can notice now.
Are there sounds in the scene of this card?
Are there smells?
What do you see?
What do you feel?
What's the weather like?
Imagine yourself taking another step right into the card,
And watch it come alive.
Are there figures on this card?
Are there animals?
Other living beings?
Who and what is here?
If the card is just a static image,
A snapshot taken at a moment in time,
What would be going on,
On either sides of those moments?
How does it feel to be here?
Taking a deep breath,
Now is the time where you can interact with the scene of this card.
What would you be doing if you walked into this scene?
Interact in whatever way feels natural to you.
Even if that's just observing.
If there are any figures on this card,
People,
Characters,
Animals,
Archetypes,
I invite you now to,
In your mind's eye,
Approach them with respect.
Offer them a greeting,
And hear what they have to say in response.
If there's a question on your heart,
A petition for more clarity,
I invite you to ask them now,
And listen for a response.
Once this wise being has responded to you in some way,
You can acknowledge that they are a part of you.
Longing to come back into connection with you,
And ask yourself,
What would they do,
Through me?
There may be multiple figures on this card.
Make sure to get all the opinions of everyone present,
Like a council of all beings,
One at a time.
Let all the voices be heard,
Even your own.
When everyone has said what they need to say,
Offered their gifts,
Shared their wisdom,
Offer thanks in whatever way makes sense to you,
And linger just a little while longer in the scene of this card,
Allowing any disparate information to collect,
Allowing any dust to settle,
Allowing for this illumination to become a part of you.
As you walk yourself out of the scene of the card,
And back into your body,
Hold in your heart,
The information that was just transferred to you,
Through the wisdom of this card.
Finding yourself back in your body,
Let's take some deep breaths together,
Long and slow,
Releasing,
And opening,
Integrating,
Healing,
And breathing out a sigh of relief,
Clarity,
Direction,
Breathing in,
Direction,
Opening,
Integration,
Understanding,
Breathing out embodiment,
Wisdom,
And in a moment we're going to open our eyes and reach for our journals,
To write down any insights,
Any symbols,
Or meanings that you want to further explore,
And when you open your eyes,
Open your eyes in a way,
That it's as if you are seeing this new scene,
The scene of your life for the first time,
Notice any similarities,
Between the scene of your life right now,
As it is in front of you,
And the scene of the card,
Begin to write,
Thank you for your practice,
May you have peace and clarity,
And healing,
For the benefit of all beings.
