Welcome to Relationship Yoga's Energetic Breathwork for Healing.
My name is Corey,
And I'll be guiding us through this session today.
Today's session is focused on releasing stress,
Anxiety and for general emotional relief.
We'll be using three styles of breath with 50 second breath holds.
If that's a little long for you or if you start to feel unstable or lightheaded,
Then please take a small sip of air and then exhale and drop back into the breath hold.
So this practice is okay for beginners,
And if you prefer longer breath holds,
Just pause the recording and Take extra time.
To pace yourself.
Before we breathe,
Today's optional mudra is the Hridaya Mudra.
Which helps release emotional tension,
Stress,
And anger.
You can hold this mudra with one or both hands as we practice together to accelerate results and you can even keep the mudra after the practice if you'd like the continued benefits up to 30 minutes.
Breath number one is breath of fire,
Which is a short,
Rapid exhale out of the nose only by constricting the inner core muscles,
And the inhale,
Which happens passively through the nose by itself.
And it sounds like this.
Breath number two is somatic breath,
Which is a powerful inhale through the nose and a sigh of relief or a regular exhale out of the mouth.
And it sounds like this.
And breath number three is shamanic breathing,
Which is a double inhale through the mouth and a sigh of relief.
Out of the mouth.
Which sounds like this.
So listen for the sound of my breath,
For the pacing,
And let's go ahead and get started together like this.
Breath of Fire.

Somatic breath.

Take a full breath in.
And hold.
And release your air right into our breath hold.
All breath out.
Your inner awareness is at the center of your chest.
No thoughts.
Nothing needed in this moment.
Except for relaxation.
Full awareness of your body and your being.

Recovery breath in.
And hold.
And release your breath out.
And let's get ready for the next round.

Completely relaxing.
Letting all thoughts simply escape your mind.
Relaxing your eyes,
Your whole face.
All tension is melting away.
No future.
No past.
Just sensations.

And hold.
And release your breath out.
And get ready for the next round.
