This meditation uses positive visualization to create an energy protection barrier that will last throughout your day. First settling in with pranayama to enter a meditative state, we will then begin with some gentle visualization to help us enter our best head space. This meditation is a little longer than 15 minutes so is perfect to use at any point in the day where you can make time. This meditation is perfect to use before a situation you think might be stressful for you (like an interview, a social situation you've been dreading, an admin task you don´t like), after a stressful day, or even just in the morning to start your day in a great headspace!

Hello,

I hope you're having a great day so far.

I'm so happy that you're here to join me today for this quick energy protecting meditation.

My name is Rose and I'm going to be your guide for today.

This meditation is for anyone who's been feeling like they've been having trouble in protecting their energy recently.

We all want to keep our beautiful light glowing bright,

But sometimes it's difficult with so much negativity around us.

But with our meditation today,

We're going to focus on keeping our light bright and the negativity far away from our hearts and minds.

Today's meditation will be about 10 to 15 minutes and will involve visualization and a little bit of pranayama or breathing exercises.

This meditation will also involve a little bit of movement,

So I would recommend doing this meditation in whatever comfortable sitting position feels best for you,

Whether that be cross-legged,

Half or full lotus,

Or kneeling.

Just find the right position for you today.

All right,

If you're nice and comfortable,

Let's begin.

Bring your hands to your knees facing upward,

And if they're not already,

Please slowly begin to close your eyes.

Making sure your shoulders are lowered and you're creating space and length in your neck.

Finding a long and strong line in your spine.

Feeling the connection from the bottom of your spine touching the floor all the way up to the very top of your head,

Right up to the crown of your head.

Feeling the sensation of your hands resting on your knees,

Your legs pressing into the floor,

And your hips strong and holding you up.

To bring ourselves into a relaxed and meditative state,

We're going to start by doing a little bit of pranayama technique,

Called box breathing,

Or sama prati pranayama in Sanskrit.

Following my lead,

We're going to breathe in,

Hold the breath inside the lungs,

Exhale,

And once again hold the breath,

But this time outside of the lungs for four counts each.

The tip with our box breathing here is just to stay relaxed.

Even if you feel uncomfortable,

Try and relax into the sensation.

Remember,

You're going to breathe in,

In just a little bit.

To start,

Taking a big inhale into your nose,

And a big exhale through the mouth.

Nice cleansing breath.

Once more,

Inhale,

This time inhaling through the nose for four,

Three,

Two,

One,

And tarakumbaka,

Holding your breath at the top of your lungs for another three,

Two,

One,

Exhaling gently through the nose for four,

Three,

Two,

One,

And holding your breath with no air in your lungs for another three,

Two,

One,

By a kumbhaka.

Another time,

Inhaling for four,

Three,

Two,

And one,

Kumbhaka holding the breath for four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Exhaling four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Kumbhaka retaining the breath for four,

Three,

Two,

And one,

Inhaling four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Retaining four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Exhaling gently,

Don't rush here,

No panic for another three,

Two,

One,

Holding the breath at the bottom for three,

Two,

And one,

Inhaling four,

Three,

Holding the breath for four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Exhaling through the nose for four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Retaining the breath,

Remaining calm here for three,

Two,

And one,

Inhaling four,

Three,

Retaining four,

Last time now,

Inhaling for four,

Three,

Kumbhaka,

Well done,

Just allow your breathing to return to your normal slow breathing.

Focusing on any sensations you can feel,

Can you feel your lungs in your chest?

Maybe your heartbeat is a little faster,

That's perfectly normal.

Just focusing on the sensations and bringing yourself back to that nice meditative grounded state.

As you feel the air rushing through your lungs,

Feel the presence in your body,

Feel the presence in the moment,

Feel every tiny sensation on your skin.

Visualizing now,

Two glowing orbs resting on the palms of each of your hands.

Maybe these orbs are small,

The size of a marble,

Or maybe they're large like tennis balls.

What color are the orbs for you?

Are they bright white,

A warm gold,

Or even a light golden red?

Feel the heat of these two glowing orbs on your palms,

As you feel the calming effect of this pure healing light.

Feeling the orbs gently spinning and glittering with beautiful energy.

Begin to bring your hands close now,

Until the two glowing orbs become one large orb of energy.

Can you feel the energy pulsing between your hands?

Maybe you can squash and extend the orb by bringing your hands close to touch and then far away again.

Maybe you can spin your hands around the orb,

Tracing its shape,

Just playing in whatever way feels right for you today.

Does the orb feel heavy or light?

There are no correct or incorrect answers here.

Remember this is your orb of positive energy.

This is your experience,

So just playing and feeling any sensation that feels right for you today.

Finding stillness now in your play,

I want you to focus on the good vibes coming from this ball of energy.

In the orb is the energy from the universe,

Here to bring you lightness and ease into your day-to-day.

And contentness,

Love and peace into your life.

It is pure goodness.

The universe only wants the absolute best for you.

Bringing your hands starting from your chin,

Up to your cheekbones,

Your forehead and all the way down to the back of your scalp,

Seeing this light permeate your whole head as this happens.

Gently visualize this pure and healing light falling down from your head to your shoulders and your chest.

Imagining this light falling like raindrops down a window on a wet day.

Gently,

Gently seeing these drops of pure light spreading down your whole body to your heart,

Your stomach,

Your arms,

Your hips,

Your legs,

All the way down to your feet and eventually your toes.

Feeling this warm and comfortable sensation of being filled with all of the goodness and kindness from the universe.

Feeling your skin glow and sparkle with this positive and caring light.

Feeling your heart and mind sparkle with this positivity and tranquility.

Seeing slowly,

Slowly this glowing light expand all around you.

Inch by inch,

This glowing light growing from the surface of your skin.

Feeling this glowing light expand until you see a bubble of glittering,

Shining light all around you.

This glowing light is your armor.

Your armor against the energies of others,

Against any negativity in the world,

Against anything you simply do not want anymore in your life.

This glowing light is the power to say no,

The power to leave,

The power to remain content and in peace regardless of your outside circumstances.

This glowing armor of light around you keeps you feeling the love,

The strength,

The peace,

The safety,

The kindness and the goodness of the universe around you at all times.

You are protected,

You are cared for,

You have the strength of the entire universe within you.

Visualizing now how that tiny orb of energy has now become this shining,

Strong,

Glittering armor all around you.

This armor is strong,

Nothing can pierce through it,

Nothing can break it.

This glowing bubble of energy travels with you throughout the day,

Protecting you and allowing your pure and good heart to remain at peace and happy.

This armor allows you to keep your inner peace no matter what's going on around you.

Remember,

This peace is always within you,

No matter what happens in the day,

You are strong,

You have your armor around you and your inner peace is protected.

Trust in the glowing light.

If you ever begin to feel affected by the things around you,

Please try to remember this glowing armor of light.

Or if necessary,

Of course,

Please feel free to repeat this meditation.

Your light and love and peace is your armor to do anything that you want in life.

It's your permission to say no,

To do what's right for you and to live the life that brings you the absolute most joy in this world.

With your light you are free to be you and you are free to live happily and in peace.

Allow it in,

Life is truly beautiful.
