A meditation for spring.
Sit down or lay down comfortably.
Begin breathing with the following pattern.
Breathe in for four counts,
Hold for two,
Breathe out for four like you are blowing through a straw with controlled breath.
Close your eyes when you are ready and if you are able.
Take a deep breath in for four counts,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold for one,
Two,
And breathe out slowly like you are blowing through a straw,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
In for four,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Breathe out four,
Three,
Two.
Now just allow your breathing to relax to a comfortable peace.
Allow your body to really feel the surface you are sitting or laying on.
Allow your muscles to release as much tension as possible and relax as much as you can.
There is no pressure here.
If you are able to,
Place your hands in your lap and cup them together.
Have them open upwards.
Visualize yourself holding a seed.
This seed represents an aspect of you.
Aspect,
Quality,
Or part of you.
Do you want to nurture to grow?
This can also represent something you would like to manifest.
Keep visualizing holding this in your hands.
This seed can also represent an illness or element that you would like to heal.
Send love and care to the seed you are holding.
If it does represent an illness,
Send healing vibes,
Healing thoughts,
Healing love,
And send gratitude if it is something you want to manifest.
If it is a way of life or if you're looking to step into a new you,
And that seed represents that,
Visualize how it would feel when you are the you you want to be.
You start to notice the seed beginning to glow.
You feel the seed pulsing in your hands.
Keep your hands cupped but open and let the beauty of the seed radiate back to you.
What does the seed look like?
Is it small?
Does it have a color?
A specific shape?
What is the color of the light emanating from the seed?
Think about what this seed represents for you.
Allow yourself to connect with the seed.
Ask the seed what it needs from you to be nurtured and to grow.
You may not get an answer right away and that's okay.
Has the seed changed color at all?
Has it changed shape?
Does the light look any different?
Does your seed represent anything different now?
If the seed changes,
That's okay.
Allow it to be.
Do you know that you have everything you need to nurture the seed for growth?
What do you visualize the seed growing into?
Is it an edible plant?
Is it a wise tall tree?
A beautiful flower?
This is your seed and your visualization.
There is no pressure for it to be anything here.
Visualize the seed's color and light growing and pulsing stronger and visualize that light surrounding and protecting you.
Connect with your seed right now.
Take a few moments to feel grateful for the seed and what it represents.
Know that you already have all you need to help it grow and flourish.
You already have all you desire that is meant for you and what is meant for you will not pass you by.
Taking a few moments to just sit with your seed,
Connect with it,
See if it gives you any insight on how to nurture it.
When you are ready and feel fully connected and grateful for this journey with your seed,
Ask where it would like to be planted.
Is it somewhere inside the home or outside?
Is it your favorite vacation spot or a planter on your windowsill?
Visualize taking the time to plant and water your seed right now,
Putting the seed in the dirt,
In the sand,
In the soil,
Wherever you want to plant this beautiful seed,
Giving it some water,
And putting it in a sunlit area.
Feel gratitude that you have planted your seed of health,
Of abundance,
Of happiness,
Of the new you.
Whatever your seed represents to you,
Know that you can come back and nurture your seed anytime.
Also know that when we feel like we are buried and in a dark time or place,
It can just mean that you have been planted and just need some nurturing to grow.
Just like the spring,
We can allow ourselves to find the sunlight,
Find the warmth,
And blossom.
Taking another deep breath in for four counts.
One,
Two,
Three,
Hold,
Two,
Breathe out,
Four,
Three,
Two.
You're breathing.
To go back to whatever pace is comfortable for you.
When you're ready,
Start to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Stretch your arms overhead,
And slowly open your eyes.
Come back to the space that you're in.
You have planted your seed,
So please make sure to nurture it,
And in turn,
It will nurture you.
Cheers.
