Hello beautiful woman,
I'm Sarah Kennedy,
And this is your gentle invitation to let stress melt away and open your heart to love and delight.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie down,
And begin by letting your body know we are safe now.
Let your body know we can slow down.
Feel the weight of your hips,
Your thighs,
Your shoulders.
Let them melt into gravity like you're sinking into the arms of the earth herself.
Take a deep,
Slow inhale,
Let your chest lift,
Let your belly soften,
And as you exhale,
Imagine it's a long sigh that you've been holding onto for months.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your lower belly,
And feel the warmth of your own touch.
Breathe into your belly first,
And then let that breath rise into your heart,
As if you're waking up someone who's been waiting for you your whole life.
Now let's play.
Imagine your heart is not just an organ,
But a woman who lives inside of you,
And she's been waiting for this moment.
Maybe she's barefoot,
Dressed in a red dress,
But she most definitely has a very mischievous look on her face.
She playfully rolls her eyes at how serious you've been lately,
Tapping her foot.
She is ready for fun.
Then she starts to move,
A slow sway at first,
Like she's feeling the music only she can hear.
Her hips loosen,
Her shoulders drop,
Her arms float out wide.
She's grinning wide,
Laughter is spilling out of her like sunlight.
This laughter moves through your whole body.
The laughter fills your heart,
It bubbles up into your throat,
And softens your jaw.
She twirls again,
Tossing her hair back,
Bare feet landing with a playful stomp that sends a wave of joy and delight through your whole body.
Her joy moves into your shoulders,
Your collarbones,
Down your arms,
It drifts into your belly,
Your hips,
Your thighs.
And then,
Like a pulse,
It dances back into your chest,
Making your heart even more alive.
Now imagine her opening the windows of your chest.
She is so overflowing in joy and delight.
She has plenty to share.
She tosses that joy and delight out into the world.
Then she turns to look at you.
She gives you a knowing wink and disappears back into your heart,
Leaving behind a trail of joy still dancing inside of you.
Now,
Take in one last deep breath,
Hold it at the top,
And release with a slow,
Delicious sigh.
