Take a slow deep breath in,
And gently exhale.
Welcome.
If you're here right now,
Maybe things feel heavy.
Maybe your mind feels overwhelmed.
Maybe you're carrying too much.
And if that's true,
I just want you to know this.
You do not have to carry everything alone.
For the next few moments,
There is nowhere to be.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to solve.
You are allowed to simply rest here.
Begin by noticing where your body touches the chair,
The bed,
Or the floor beneath you.
Let yourself feel supported.
Take another deep breath in,
And slowly release.
If your thoughts are racing right now,
That is okay.
You are not doing this wrong.
You do not need to stop the thoughts.
Simply allow them to exist,
And gently bring your attention back to your breath.
Now imagine a warm golden light surrounding you.
Soft.
Protective.
Comforting.
Like being wrapped in warmth.
This light asks nothing of you.
You do not need to be strong right now.
You do not need to have all the answers.
You do not need to hold everything together.
Place a hand over your heart if that feels comfortable,
And softly repeat after me.
I am safe.
I do not need to carry everything right now.
I am supported.
I am allowed to rest.
Take one final deep breath,
And slowly exhale.
Remember,
You can return to this moment whenever you need.
You are doing better than you think,
And you do not have to figure everything out tonight or right now.
You are safe.
