First,
I would like to thank you for choosing this guided meditation.
My name is Sheena,
Also known as The Root Lifter.
Through this meditation,
I will guide you to comfort,
To be relaxed.
We'll do a little future pacing and dissolving of worries and problems.
It is very short and I hope you enjoy.
Now,
I would like you to find a comfortable spot,
If you're not already sitting or lying down,
Away from everyone so you have no distractions.
And I would like you to begin to settle into a comfortable position.
You might notice the weight of your body against the surface supporting you.
And as you become aware of your breathing,
You may find that with each breath,
You're able to relax a little more deeply.
If your eyes aren't already closed,
Go ahead and close them now,
Allowing yourself to find that perfect of breathing that feels most natural and comfortable for you.
Now,
I invite you to let your mind wander.
Wander to a place of deep relaxation.
It could be somewhere you've been before or perhaps a place you've only imagined.
And as this place begins to form in your mind,
You might be surprised at how vivid and real it can become.
Maybe you find yourself on a warm,
Sandy beach,
Listening to the waves crash against the sand or the seagulls searching for food.
Maybe you're feeling the gentle caress of the sun on your skin or the light breeze brushing across your body.
Or perhaps you're in a serene forest surrounded by tall trees,
Listening to the birds talk to one another,
The leaves blowing in the wind,
Or even listening to the trees that seem to whisper ancient secrets and all the other sounds of nature in the background.
You could even be in a cozy room with a crackling fireplace,
Wrapped up in your favorite blanket.
Just know,
Wherever you are,
You are completely safe.
Wherever this special place is for you,
Again,
Allow yourself to fully experience it with all of your senses.
Notice the colors and textures,
The sounds,
And even the scents that make this place uniquely calming for you.
And as you continue to explore this environment,
You may find that with each passing moment,
You are able to relax even more deeply.
As you bask in the serenity of this place,
You might become aware of any worries or problems that you have been carrying with you.
And isn't it interesting how in this state of relaxation,
Those concerns can begin to shift and change.
You might imagine these worries as clouds in the sky above you.
And just as clouds naturally dissipate and dissolve,
You may notice these worry clouds starting to break apart and fade away.
Or perhaps you see your concerns and worries as pebbles in your hand.
And as you open your fingers,
They gently fall away,
Carried off by a peaceful stream.
However you perceive them,
Allow yourself to watch as these worries and problems begin to dissolve and diminish,
Becoming less and less significant with each breath you take.
And now,
As you continue to relax in this peaceful state,
I invite you to imagine yourself in the near future.
Picture yourself going about your day,
Feeling calm,
Centered,
And confident.
You might be surprised at how easily you handle challenges and tough situations that come your way.
Drawing upon this sense of inner peace,
You have cultivated.
Now look as a mirror appears in front of you.
Look at yourself in the mirror and see yourself smiling more,
Breathing more easily,
And approaching each task with a sense of clarity and purpose.
This is the you that has always been there,
Now shining through more brightly than ever.
And as this journey continues and almost comes to a close,
Know that you can return to this peaceful place whenever you need to.
Whenever you are feeling stressed,
Agitated,
Anxious,
You can always come back to this peaceful place in your mind.
The calmness and clarity you've experienced here are always within you,
Ready to be accessed at any time.
Now,
Gently begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Sense a flow of positivity flowing throughout your body.
Take a deep breath.
Give yourself a big smile.
And when you're ready to open your eyes,
Carrying with you a renewed sense of peace and possibility,
Go ahead and open your eyes.
