Welcome!
As you settle into your space today,
Take a moment to arrive fully,
Both physically and mentally.
Let this be a time of stillness,
A pause in the flow of your day where you can connect deeply with yourself and with the quiet shifts happening beneath the surface.
There's no need to rush here.
This is a space to simply be.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat,
Either on the floor or in a chair,
Wherever you feel connected to the ground beneath you.
Let your body grow heavy and your spine long.
Gently close your eyes if that feels right,
Soften your shoulders,
And bring your awareness inward.
Begin to notice your breath.
Without changing it,
Simply observe the way air flows in and out of your body.
With each inhale,
You might feel a sense of expansion.
With each exhale,
A gentle release,
A softening.
Imagine this breath as a gentle stirring beneath the surface,
A quiet movement just starting to awaken.
We sit at a special point in the year,
A cross-quarter day known as Imbolc,
Or Brigid's Day.
It's a time of transition,
The midpoint between winter and spring.
Though the earth may still seem quiet and dormant,
Below the surface life is stirring.
Seeds are beginning to awaken,
Preparing for the growth ahead.
As you sit here,
Grounded and still,
Imagine that within you too there are stirrings.
Like seeds planted beneath the surface,
These beginnings may not be visible yet,
But that doesn't mean they're not happening.
There may be something new,
A shift,
A change,
Deep within you.
Perhaps you can't name it,
And that's okay.
For now,
It's simply enough to acknowledge that something is forming.
With your next inhale,
Imagine this new beginning,
This energy as a small swirling cloud deep within your body,
Starting to flicker with recognition.
As you exhale,
Allow yourself to soften into the stillness,
Letting this energy be present without forcing it to take shape.
It doesn't need to look like anything just yet.
Inhale again,
And as you do,
Imagine that swirling cloud starting to take form as a small point of light,
The seed of your new beginning.
It pulses gently,
Alive with potential.
Exhale,
And hold on to this with care,
Knowing that this light will grow in its own time.
Know that this light is there,
And that's enough for now.
Beginnings don't have to rush.
Like the seed in the soil,
It will grow in its own time.
For now,
We simply sit with it,
Marveling at its beauty and potential,
Even if it's still undefined.
Take a few more breaths,
Staying present with this seed of new beginnings.
Whether you feel excitement,
Curiosity,
Or even uncertainty,
Allow yourself to accept whatever is present without judgment.
Like the earth in its slow,
Deliberate shifts,
Trust that everything is unfolding in its own rhythm.
As we close this meditation,
Take one final deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Feel a sense of completion.
Know that the seeds of new beginnings,
Like the stirrings of the earth,
Don't need to rush.
They will grow in their own time,
And you can carry this sense of quiet patience with you as you move forward.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and reorient yourself to the space around you.
Take your time to transition back,
Knowing that the potential within you is gently unfolding,
Growing at its own pace,
Just like the earth as it moves towards spring.
Thank you for joining me today.
May you move through this time of transition with gentleness and grace,
Trusting in the quiet beginnings within.
