Hi everyone!

Thanks for joining me today as we slow down.

As you're finding a comfortable seat where you can stay for a few minutes,

Do so already practicing moving slowly.

Pretend you're moving through water and you feel a slight resistance as you glide through,

Slowing your movements and softening them.

If you need to change position at some point in the practice today,

That's totally fine.

Just continue this idea of moving slowly.

Once you've found your comfortable seat,

Begin to notice the movement of air through your body as you breathe in and breathe out.

See if you can stretch out your inhale,

Taking a little bit more breath in,

And then notice your exhale and if any tension is releasing as you let go.

Consciously noticing our breath and slowing it down is a tool we always have.

It can help us find stillness or take a step back from any emotions that might feel overwhelming and any intrusive thoughts.

Focus on breathing in and breathing out.

Perhaps even use the phrase,

I am breathing in and I am breathing out,

As you exhale.

I am breathing in,

I am breathing out.

Taking time to slow down and meditate can help us find stillness,

But it also gives us a chance to access a place of deep peacefulness that we all have,

But can be so difficult to find in the midst of busy days and spiraling thoughts.

I am breathing in,

I am breathing out.

I am breathing in,

I am breathing out.

Slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Drawing awareness back to your physical body.

Soon we'll begin to move back into our days,

Moving with intention,

Perhaps moving a little slower and taking a little extra time to tap into our inner peace and notice the world around us.

Take one last big deep inhale and release it with a sigh.

Gently flutter your eyelids open and slowly and peacefully move into the rest of your day.
