Begin by noticing that you are here,

Not trying,

Not fixing,

Just arriving.

Let your eyes close gently or soften your gaze.

Allow the body to settle exactly as it is.

There is no better position you need to find.

Feel the surface beneath you supporting your weight.

Notice how the body is already being held.

You can stop holding yourself together now.

Bring your attention to the breath,

Not to change it yet,

Just to notice its quiet presence.

Now,

Take a slow breath in through the nose,

Let it fill the chest and belly,

And then exhale slowly through the mouth,

As if releasing the day.

Again,

Breathing in and breathing out.

With each exhale,

Imagine a thought gently loosening its grip,

Not disappearing suddenly,

Just softening,

Fading.

You do not need to push thoughts away.

You do not need to follow them.

Let them drift past like leaves on still water.

Bring awareness to the face,
