Welcome and thank you for taking a journey into the world of guided visualization.
Today we are working on your root chakra,
Allowing you to feel grounded,
Centered and secure by grounding energy into your root chakra to allow the fear in your subconscious to let go of whatever is holding you back.
Allow yourself for the next few moments to open your mind to the possibility that your own internal energy can begin to manifest change.
For most of us the art of meditation seems too daunting to contemplate,
But there are different forms of quieting the mind.
Some call it meditation,
Some refer to using the term relaxation.
I say don't worry about giving quiet peaceful moments a name,
Just know that it is important for your well-being.
Whatever form it takes,
As long as it allows you to sit and focus on yourself is a good thing.
Today you will use the art of mindful visualization.
I hope you enjoy your experience.
Let's begin.
Allow yourself to find a comfortable space to lie or sit relaxed and begin to release your body from thoughts,
Worries or concerns for today.
Gently close your eyes and try to allow your eyelids to grow heavy.
If sitting down,
Make sure your spine is well supported,
Your legs are uncrossed and your feet flat on the floor.
Relax your shoulders and gently rest your hands in your lap.
If lying down,
Relax your head,
Soften your shoulders away from your ears,
Find length in your spine,
Relax your arms and your legs and then allow yourself to take three deep normal breaths in and out.
Slowly now bring particular attention to the root of your spine,
Pelvic floor and the first three vertebrae at the base of your spine.
Once there,
Try and direct your breath into that area,
Knowing that each time you breathe in,
Your breath is pulsing energy into your body and each time you breathe out,
You are allowing all that doesn't serve you to be released.
Let's now bring your attention back to your breath.
With your next inhalation and exhalation,
I want you to imagine the mist that your breath creates on a cold winter's morning,
But I want you to think about that mist being the color red,
Moving in and out of your lungs and pulsing through your body.
In particular,
Notice red filling your lower spine,
Tailbone and hips.
Think about the emotions and feelings that you associate with the color red.
Red can make you feel passionate and energized.
Red is the warmest and most dynamic of colors.
Allow yourself for a moment to radiate warmth into your lower back and your root chakra.
Red is the color of blood.
Allow yourself to feel the sensation of your heart pumping blood to your root chakra.
Try to feel the sensation of the pulse of your own heartbeat.
Try and ground your tailbone a little deeper into the bed,
Floor or seat.
Be playful with trying to bring energy into your pelvis,
Your tailbone by tilting and flattening your pelvis,
Rolling your pelvis up and down.
Allow now your attention to move to your third eye.
The third eye is located on your forehead between your eyebrows,
But just a little bit higher.
The central point for your intuition,
Imagination and spirituality.
The third eye often symbolizes a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images.
It is this that you wish to set your intention for now.
Slowly allow your mind to take you to any happy memories of being at the beach.
As you gaze towards the sky through tinted lenses,
You can see the Sun raging with shades of red.
You can feel the heat on your skin,
That sensation of tingling as your blood vessels enjoy the Sun,
Pulsing into the skin.
Take a deep breath in and take a step onto the beach.
Begin to walk down to the hard sand,
But don't rush.
Be mindful of the feeling of the soft sand beneath your feet.
Notice the sensation of the sand being caught between your toes and flicking up at your heels.
You move closer to the waterline and once there you just stand for a moment.
Visualize the waves,
The sunlight glistening off the water on the horizon.
Just be in this scene for a moment.
Bring this image to your mind's eye and engage all your senses.
Feel the sunlight on your skin.
Smell the salty fresh air pass through your nostrils.
Hear the sound of waves crashing.
See yourself about to step a little closer towards the water's edge.
Take a deep breath in and wriggle your toes to once again simulate feeling the sand beneath your feet.
Now the act of stamping your feet is a great exercise to allow your body to feel more grounded and it's said to activate your root chakra.
So slowly imagine stamping your feet.
Ground yourself into the sand and feel the vibrations moving all the way up to your tailbone.
Know that this vibration you are feeling is strongly triggering your root chakra to bring a sense of grounding,
Strength and sense of safety and security.
Allow yourself today to be secure in your body,
Mind and spirit.
Allow your body,
Mind and spirit to work together as one.
Be courageous enough to know you have all the ability you need to make good decisions and right decisions for you.
I'm about to leave you with your own self to continue visualizing and grounding.
Continue walking along the beach and create a scene in your mind that past happy good memories create.
If at any time in the next few moments you do find your mind wandering back to thoughts,
Just bring your attention back to the red breath that we started with.
Breathe in and out through your nose.
When next you hear my voice it would be time to come back to the present,
To the here and now.
Slowly now begin to become aware once more of your breath.
Become aware of the rise and fall of your stomach.
Breathing in and out through the nose.
Start to notice your body sitting or lying on the floor and the sounds around you.
When you're ready slowly start by moving fingers and toes.
Starting to notice the room around you,
The floor beneath you.
Now before we say farewell I'd like us together to set some intentions for our day.
On your next breath in repeat I am grounded and on your breath out I am strong.
On your breath in I am grounded.
On your breath out I am safe.
Breathing in I am grounded.
Breathing out I am secure.
Call on your root chakra to let go of fear when next you find yourself faced with insecurity or self-doubt.
Go outside and stamp your feet to remind you of the grounding power within you.
Your root chakra is the powerhouse of making good decisions that serve your stability and security.
My wish for you today and every day is for you to find a sense of grounding when faced by challenges that daily life throws your way.
So remember at any time of the day or night it is okay to stop,
Take a moment,
Stamp your feet,
Stand proud and come out fighting again being your best version possible.
Thank you for tuning in.
Enjoy your day Namaste
