Do you take time to notice and cherish the small moments of wonder in your day? In this talk, we look at a simple practice to bring more joy and magic into our lives. Every night before bed, we can ask ourselves the simple question: "What magic did I witness today?" This question immediately prompts our brains to focus on joy, recalling all the tiny moments of wonder and awe we witnessed throughout our day. The secret here is simple: When you focus on life's enchantments and beauty, you invite more in—and when you do it right before you're about to go to sleep, it takes it a step further because you hand these positive feelings over to your subconscious mind. Do this practice nightly, and in time you might unlock a hack to experience one magical and beautiful day after another.

Every day the world is filled with wonders waiting to be noticed.

Number one,

Are you bearing witness to them?

And number two,

Are you truly savoring them and allowing them to stay embedded in your soul?

Hey there friends,

Thanks for hitting play today on life and sharing a tiny piece of your journey with me.

My name is Anthony V.

Lombardo and welcome to another edition of the You Are A Conscious Creator podcast where I hope to provide you with some inspiration and guidance to help you consciously create a life of meaning,

Purpose and one that you absolutely love.

Every single day we get the privilege to waking up to a brand new day,

To this beautifully rich human existence with all the wonder and splendor it offers us.

And we have another chance to experience that beauty in a brand new way.

And these moments of beauty and splendor are sprinkled all throughout our day.

And if we're lucky enough and present enough,

We have the privilege of witnessing that and experiencing them and immersing ourselves in them.

And it doesn't have to be anything extravagant or grandiose.

It could be as simple as a smile from a stranger or the scent of blooming flowers.

It could be a heartfelt conversation with a loved one,

Time spent with your kids,

Or a jolt of creativity and inspiration during your work day.

We experience these moments.

We derive joy from them.

But sometimes the feeling can be fleeting.

We quickly move on to the next part of our day.

And by time the day is over,

We often forget about these moments.

They're gone from our memory,

Especially with the tiny things.

So with all that said,

I have a bit of a challenge for you today.

I want you to try to pay attention to these moments and remember them.

But more importantly,

When the day is over and before you're about to settle in for the night and go to bed,

Ask yourself this question.

What magic did I witness today?

What magic did I witness today?

I originally encountered this question many years ago from Vishen Lakhiani.

I believe it was in his book,

The Code of the Extraordinary Mind.

And he suggests asking this question as part of your nightly routine,

As an end of day journaling exercise.

But it doesn't have to be anything all too elaborate.

Simply before going to bed,

Open up your journal and write this at the top of the page.

The magic I witnessed today.

Then think back on your day and ask yourself,

What were the moments of magic,

Joy,

Inspiration,

Or love that I experienced today?

When did I become radiantly alive,

Filled with purpose and meaning?

In what moments did I feel that there was a compassionate,

Loving force guiding me and moving me towards my goals,

My purpose,

And the life I desire?

It could literally be anything that gave you meaning and felt good.

Perhaps you witnessed a synchronicity or a coincidence that aligned with something you desire,

Or with a situation or problem in your life that you are looking for answers on.

Maybe that was the universe's way of winking at you today,

Giving you more clues to the guidance you so dearly seek.

Whatever it is,

Write them all down in your journal before going to bed.

Bless these experiences and give thanks for them.

And the reason why I believe doing this is important and can be extremely powerful is because the more you acknowledge the magic you witness in your life,

The more magic you will experience.

And the more you acknowledge everything extraordinary in your life,

The more extraordinary your life becomes.

It's law of attraction 101,

So to speak.

What you focus on always grows.

It's the reason why simple gratitude practices have the power to change the chemistry of our brains.

So when we selectively choose to recall moments where we experienced wonder and awe,

Or any positive emotion,

We increase the probability of experiencing them again and again and again.

We train our brains essentially to focus on positivity and invite more enchantment into our lives.

It helps us develop a keen awareness for the little things in life that light us up from the inside.

And it helps us cultivate the ability to maintain that feeling with us as we go about our lives.

Think about it.

If this is one of the last things you show your mind before you go to bed,

Your subconscious mind will see these as clues and you begin programming yourself for more joy.

So again,

I urge you to give this a shot tonight.

To even try to bring this into your life as a daily practice.

And it just starts by noticing the little things that remind you how incredible it is to be a human.

And then remembering and savoring those moments when the day is over.

Imagine doing this consistently every night.

In time,

You might just unlock a way to manifest one magical feeling day after another.

Think about it.
