I'm going to spend just a few minutes slowing down,

Noticing what's happening inside.

I invite you to start by slowing down your breath,

Whatever rhythm and pace feels natural and comfortable for your body.

Gently inhaling and exhaling,

Noticing what it feels like.

If you lengthen that inhale and that exhale,

Noticing what it feels like.

If you let your abdomen expand just a little bit more with each inhale,

Noticing what it feels like.

If you let yourself sigh with your exhale,

As you continue those nice lengthened breaths,

Notice what's happening internally.

You can be curious to see if there's some sort of image or symbol that might represent the state of your soul right now.

As you're curious about this,

You can let yourself have permission for there to be varied answers here.

You might have one part of you feeling one thing and another part of you feeling another thing.

You might have one perspective internally that is seeing things one way,

And at the same time,

Another perspective internally that sees things differently.

As you're noticing what's happening internally,

You can see what it's like for there to be this space to feel more than one thing at once,

To experience more than one thing at once,

To be making sense of things in more than one way at once.

In any way that that does create space for you,

Almost like more space to breathe,

I invite you to take up that space with a really nice,

Deep breath,

A really nice,

Deep,

Heavy sigh.

Before we close with a prayer,

See if there's anything else internally that might need your attention,

And you can pause this audio if that would feel helpful to create more space to slow down and check in.

Lord God,

Would you give us eyes to see what's happening inside?

Not so that we can have it all figured out,

But really so that we can have a sense of where we might invite you in to minister to the depths of our souls.

Amen.
