So let's start by taking an intentional breath together.
So closing your eyes tuning into your body here and now Taking a deep inhale And exhale One more time inhaling And exhaling Beautiful So today's video is really short,
But I just wanted to talk to you today about something that I thought of While I was journaling and I think that it it's a really really beautiful personification or metaphor of what's happening here in Earth,
So I I was thinking to us I Woke up and I just felt good and I just felt in tune and aligned and maybe you've had an experience like this and I Just felt like everything was so Perfect just the way it was You know,
There was I couldn't see any flaws Even though I knew maybe there were flaws,
But I couldn't see them.
They just didn't phase me.
They didn't hit me Everything was perfect the way it was with its flaws I know it sounds kind of corny and cheesy because we hear that all the time that oh You're your flaws are what makes you beautiful or those kind of things but I really I woke up in this this beautiful mood and The metaphor that came to me in my head was You know as awakened people as people on a spiritual path We get ourselves into this good place maybe after we do yoga or meditation and We feel this joy and we feel at peace and a calmness and it's like we are little kids on a little league field and You know,
We're playing baseball and we're all just having a good time and we're just Mixing it up and you know,
We're sucking at catching the ball.
We're sucking at throwing the ball We're sucking at throwing doing the batting.
We're sucking at even knowing if doing the batting is a word that's used in sports,
But What if we're having fun?
We're laughing we're giggling and then it feels like there's all these parents that are outside the field and they're screaming at us You need to be more serious.
Hey Focus focus get your head in the game,
Right and people are saying you need to be working on your goals You need to be working on making more money.
You need to be working on putting more money in your retirement You need to be working on getting a bigger house with a better car.
You need to be working on a family Why don't I have grandkids?
Well,
What are you doing?
What you need to be doing these things you need me focusing Are you focusing you're not focusing you're having fun.
You can't have fun We need to focus life isn't about fun life isn't about joy life isn't about your yoga your meditation you need to focus on the goals and I'm Just gonna keep screaming at you from outside the field until you start focusing and then what happens You know you you can that little league field then the children take that on and we think oh well You know everyone around us is telling us that we need to focus on these things.
Maybe we do and Then you start to not trust yourself and you start to not trust Maybe your intuition or whatever guidance is coming through to you You start to question.
Oh,
Is it really right for me to do this?
Is it really right for me to Spend an hour a day meditating Doing yoga.
Isn't that a waste of time?
I mean,
I'm not getting my cardio up I'm not I'm not making muscles right by lifting.
I'm not Doing the things that I'm supposed to be doing I could be using that time to work harder I could be using that time to network favorite word So I think What happens is me we feel these beautiful feelings of joy and alignment and connectedness and They so quickly feel like they could be zapped away by the outside forces that are telling us to focus And I think it just goes to show how important it is to have some kind of daily practice Maybe twice a day three times a day to come back and come back and come back to remember That we don't have to listen to these people even though it feels like they're so pervasive.
It feels like everywhere you look Someone's telling you what you're doing wrong why you're doing it wrong how you need to be focusing in different places and we have to come back to you know,
The yoga mat the meditation cushion and Find our center again and know that the feelings that we're feeling the joy the love the contentment the Contentment,
I feel like some people think that's a dirty word right?
Oh,
You can't be content well You're never gonna make any more money What you're okay with making 40 grand?
How are you gonna save money for retirement?
What happens if a medical bill comes all of these practical questions,
Right?
They make sense.
They're like,
Huh?
What what does happen?
And Because they're telling the reality as it currently is what we can see what is evidenced They the questions make sense and then we start buying into them Well,
I need to be working harder.
I need to find a new job.
I need to make more money I need to do this and you do that until you come back to the mat again,
And it's like Why do I need a bigger house why why do I need a bigger car why do I need a different job?
All of these are valid questions But they need to be asked from a place they need to be asked on your yoga mat Right when you're in that place of calm of contentment of joy Then you ask the questions do I need to change If I'm accepting my my place right here right now,
I'm accepting the amount of money I'm making I'm accepting my home my family my car Everything exactly the way it is and I have a preference to maybe Try a different job.
I have a preference.
I have a desire to make more money then that's beautiful because that arises Naturally,
It's not something that needs to be forced.
It's not something that needs to be Led by scarcity led by fear because when it's led by fear it it You're always grasping right you're always like never quite there but when it's a goal that's set because Hey,
Wouldn't it be cool?
Wouldn't it be nice to have more money?
I'm okay with what I have now Wouldn't it be nice to have more and that might sound like a privilege Privileged question and of course,
Of course,
Of course,
Of course it is but We all get to choose how we think and feel So We always get to choose Whether we have 40,
000 20,
000 10,
000 whether we're unemployed We all still have something That is beautiful and that we can accept and that's that's our breath That's our life At the end of the day we can be grateful for our breath in our life and Just having another day to try to evolve to change.
Of course.
It's never just that easy But that's what we're here to do,
Right?
We're here to have a human experience to be upset about things But then come back to accept things the way they are and in evolve Gain more money gain more momentum change our job change it again We're just all here playing on that little league field and trying to keep our field and The people that we're playing with happy and joyful and not coming from a place of you need to focus You need to be fearful.
You need to you need to worry about what's next because It's just not the way I want to live life and maybe you know,
I'll die one day and someone will tell me you were deranged and delusional and That's not how life works It was right for them to be telling you these things and I'll just be like,
Okay.
I Accept it Right because honestly I'm gonna have a better time Working on being content where I am then I'm ever gonna have Striving for more Even if I do get more What's the point What's the point if you're not happy if you're not content?
What's the point of Pushing yourself constantly There's just there's no point There's no point at least in my opinion and as always please take whatever I say and Matched up with what you think what you feel have an open mind.
Let it percolate Take what you like and leave the rest But thank you again for taking an intentional breath with me today.
I hope you liked this video.
