For day two,
I want you to practice a breathing technique that I was recently introduced to.
So this technique is called the 478 breathing technique.
And what you're going to do is you're going to inhale for four seconds,
Hold it for seven seconds,
And then breathe out,
Exhale for eight seconds,
Right?
478.
So we're going to do it right now.
Here we go.
Breathe in,
Hold,
Exhale.
What that technique does,
And you can even hear it in my voice,
Right?
It calms you down.
Practicing that a couple of times a day when life is chaotic,
When you need a minute to breathe,
When you need some mental clarity,
When you just need a moment away from the chaos.
478,
Really quick,
Less than a minute to do.
Doing that,
Practicing that,
It really calms and centers where you are and brings you back to yourself,
Right?
So practice that two or three more times,
And then dig into day two journal prompt.
Hi friends.
So it is day two.
As you can see,
My voice is not fully here with us,
But that's okay.
I am committed to giving you 30 days of gratitude.
So today's prompt for day two is about naming a person that you're grateful for,
But I don't want you to just name them.
I want you to think about why you're really grateful for them.
Is this something that they've done?
Is it who they are as a person that inspires you?
Do they have a kind spirit?
What is it about this person makes you grateful for them,
For having them in your life?
Whether they're in your life forever or if they're in your life for a season.
They come into our lives and teach us things and then they'll be gone forever or just gone out of our lives because that season is over.
So when you think about this journal prompt,
I really want you to dive into being as detailed as possible.
Why are you grateful for them?
Again,
Is it something they've done?
Is it who they are?
Is it how they carry themselves?
People come into our lives and they change our lives.
That connection is key.
We have stories to tell.
We have stories and experiences that we live,
But our stories and our experiences aren't just for us.
They're meant to be shared.
They're meant to be told.
And that's what builds connection.
And so I want you to really dig deep with this prompt.
I want you to think about someone that you are so grateful for,
Whether it's because they supported you when you were having a tough time,
Or again,
If it's someone that you just look up to,
Share why they're important to you,
Why you're grateful for them in this journal prompt.
All right,
I'll see you tomorrow.
