It's there even if you're not quite awake to it yet or not quite feeling it.
Let this meditation be an invitation to embrace the new day with a heart full of gratitude to awaken to the gift of life in all its wondrous forms and to embrace being you in the presence of this ever unfolding brilliance and beauty of life itself of the new day.
As you settle into this moment begin to sense and remember that you are held by a bigger loving presence within you and around you.
And as you take a deep nourishing breath into your chest feel your own heart awakening.
As you slowly let that breath go feel yourself landing a little deeper into this moment into the beginning of the day.
When we transition from the quiet of night into the new day what happens is our inner life comes forward with all its dreams and its plans and ideas.
So you may now be becoming aware of everyone in your life,
Your loved ones and everything that is important to you today.
Can you let that be?
Instead of blocking this energy instead can you ground it with the steady rise and fall of your breathing?
That rhythm that connects you to the life force that flows through you.
And you might let each exhalation allow you to sink a little deeper into the support beneath you knowing that the earth is holding you steady and strong.
Knowing that the earth is holding space for all that is dear to you and important to you today.
You may pause to cherish this moment of meeting yourself in life again.
Taking a hand to your heart,
Smiling into your body as you breathe and whispering to yourself I am grateful to be alive.
I am awake to all the beauty of life.
Noticing the sensations in your body now,
Softly feel from the top of your head down to the tips of your toes.
As you breathe sensing your whole form.
Sensing every part of you awakening into the new day and letting yourself soften.
With your exhalation letting any tension flow out of your body and inviting in a sense of ease and comfort.
Cherishing this time,
Your sacred moment to connect with the innate beauty of life and being.
As you feel your breath warming your tummy and your chest.
Feeling life's nourishment brightening your being and what that means for you today.
Now begin to bring your awareness to your heart center.
The place where your inner light shines so brightly.
With every breath sense and feel this light expanding filling your entire being with warmth and love.
As you breathe into this inner light right there in the center of your chest let it remind you of all the things that you're grateful for.
Feel the space in your chest for your heart to remember the blessings that fill your life.
Those that are both big and small.
And with your next inhalation silently say to yourself thank you.
As you exhale feeling that gratitude flowing through you filling every cell.
And again inhaling and whispering thank you.
Exhaling and letting waves of gratitude permeate your deep being.
And now gently allow these affirmations to flow through you.
You might repeat them silently with the rhythm of your breath or just listen to them and feel them flowing into you as you breathe.
I am grateful for this new day.
I welcome its gifts with an open heart.
I am grateful for the love that surrounds me.
I share my love freely and joyfully.
I am grateful for my body my vessel of life.
I honor my body with kindness and care.
I am grateful for the challenges that help me grow.
I embrace them with courage and grace.
I am so grateful for the beauty that fills my world.
I see it.
I feel it.
And I celebrate it.
As these affirmations settle into your being,
Feel them connecting to you on a deep level.
Feel them entering even your subconscious energy field,
Healing,
Nourishing you.
And feel them filling you with vital energy,
Infusing your day with the frequency of gratitude,
Love and creativity.
Take a moment to really feel that sensing into your body.
And then in this final moment of the meditation add any personal words of prayer or blessing or knowing to yourself to keep you going through the day.
And then when you're ready and in your own time bring your awareness back to your breath,
Feeling the steady rise and fall of your chest.
Begin to move your senses outward to what you're hearing,
To what you're smelling,
To the air on your skin.
You might want to wiggle your fingers and toes or move into some stretches,
Reconnecting with your body in the present moment,
With the here and now,
With the fresh energy of the day.
Gently opening your eyes when you're ready and carrying this sense of gratitude and peace and vitality with you as you step into your day.
Remember dear soul,
You are a part of this beautiful life.
Your energy is a delightful part of the energy of life.
And it is a blessing for you to be here now exactly as you are.
Blessing to you and a blessing to life.
